Gee, that's tuff. Not too long ago it looked like this:

Frank C yep I know I work backwards sometimes buy I did get it done. I replace the hose that the po had there because it was not keeping its shape and was half closed off. So a new hose and thermostat was in stalled and new antifreeze. I ran the tractor and checked for leaks and the change the oil to synthetic diesel oil.
now comes the front and rear ports and Cat O for the diesel. I don`t know if that is really worth all the coin . But I think I will have it shipped over here and will install it. I`am thinking it will come in handy when I add the weight of the 450 blower on the front as I will be able to add weight to the draw bar on the Cat O. I will order the bar so I can use my ground plow and with Cat O I think I will get better control of the plow for dept. Later Don T
This tractor will put me in the poor house lol

"This tractor will put me in the poor house". Hey, that's where I live! Should I start cleaning out the back room?

0* right now, supposed to get up to 15*. About noon I'll hook up the trailer and get ready for tomorrow's trip - unless something trips things up (pun intended).

Well when the wife finds out what I bought yesterday i`am a dead man lol. She will be pissed for sure. I bought Cat O from Aaron and a few other things that I think the diesel should have for me to enjoy. Here is what I got.

I have a front weight bracket here and will need to find some suitcase weights for the Diesel. these will be needed for the blower for traction I think. This 1512 D will need a paint job after I get all these parts installed . I think it will be a great tractor to use here. I still plan to add the hydraulic cylinder on my 53" snow blade so if the snow is not to much I will use the blade for snow removal.I will be taking the tru-powers off the 149 and put them on the 1512 as soon as I get the Cat O installed. The 149 will go back to turf tires till my tractor funds build again. my wife ask me for a picture of the 450 snow blower to take to work. She said one of her coworkers ask for a picture of one cause his neighbor has a Cub with a blower that he has not used for 7 yrs.He wants me to look at it for him and get it running.I will look at it and see cause he is not sure he wants it. I might bring it home here lol. Later Don T

Kendell Ide
Yes she does ,but only email and some Zoo thing that keeps her on this for hrs,She don`t read my posts on here lol. good think that she don`t. It will be to late when its here. Don T ask permission just do it and the get over it lol. later Don T

Don, I see you're a firm believer in this:

<!-quote-!>quote:

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.<!-/quote-!>

Kraig
you know thats right lol. btdt the other way they get mad when you ask and they say no and we do it anyway, seems to realy pi$$ them off.

Don, once told "NO!", it's best to comply... or risk this:

If you must, it's better to go ahead without asking and ask for forgiveness later if needed. I usually ask and then comply with the response.

I can see where this is going lol. After the Cat O gets here and the rear hyd lines and i get them installed and have some fun with the diesel I will have to paint it. It will be quite a piece of equipment for me to use around here . I sold my 1962 Original this morning to Kevin Mailman so when he gets his 104 done he wants to refurb the original. He will have to waite because there is still 2 ft of snow in front of my storage building. Later Don T

Don, I just recently purchased Bryan Baker's 1572 that he had painted red. I've already got the Cat 0 for it but have been strongly considering get the split kit. I want that "A" Frame adapter too. I don't need it right now but it'd be so much easier while I've still got it apart. I've just got to figure out how to get it without my wife terminating me.

your a lucky man, because I think you bought a fine tractor. I love my diesel for sure. When will you have it back together, when you do post a picture here , I want to see how it turns out. Later Don T

I'll post a pic of it partially put back together tomorrow. I'm ordering a wire harness for it since this has damage in several areas. I don't want to risk putting it all back together just to find more wiring problems. It's going to cost me but it'll be worth it. I got the hitch ready to put on tomorrow. It's a GT hitch with a SGT lift bar.

Pushed some snow today and had problems with the diesel. It would sputter and almost stall, I had a job to get it back into the shop. I will be getting a new fuel pump asap as I`am sure that is the problem. It was real wet snow and hard to push. later Don T

Don-

Hold on. Have you replaced both fuel filters, all the fuel lines, and cleaned the tank and screen inside? If not, don't get a new fuel pump just yet. Something between the tank and injector pump is probably clogged or restricted. Don't jump to (expensive) conclusions.

Matt Gonitzke
I found nothing in the tank when I cleaned it and did replace all the filters with new filters. I did not see a screen in the parts look up ,whats up with that! When the tractor is left it will start and work great for some time and then miss again or stall. I will check everything out and see where the blockage is. Thanks Don T
