Last Feb, 18"snow storm....

Steve Blunier "Mr. Plow" (Central IL)

Like the power angle on that blade. I should have that option soon for my diesel. But I don`t know how much use it will get. This spring all I could see where scratch marks from the Chains on my 149 from last winters snow removal on the new paved drive.I guess after the drive ages and don`t look so black I won`t see the chain marks as much.

Don,

Power angle is the cat's butt.....you'll love it!!! I've had manual blades, IH power angles, and this Haban power angle....Haban is the king, but the IH with hyd. angle was very nice as well.

The thrower has hyd. power chute rotation, so I get to stay in the cab for everything and can just flip the hyd. lever to throw snow wherever I want...

Every year I get a kick out of the neighbors chuckling about me and my "toys", but every winter I get my share of home made goodies after the big snow. Still, I love my neighbors, good people!

S. Blunier, I have searched this site for more info on your hyd. power chute rotation - and came up with nuttin'.... Have you discussed/posted pics of this before? I have a 450/451 on my 1572 and want to put a hard cab on the tractor. Only problem is that there's no way to get to the manual handle....

So you rotate the chute by the front hydro outlet/lever?? Hydro actuator (linear/rotational)?? Inquiry minds wanna know.

I think this is a pic of Mr. Plow's setup...

If you could find the right motor, you make the chute rotator electric. I looked at McMaster-Carr. They have 12 Volt, DC GearMotors, for about $40 that might work. They put out 10 to 40 in. lbs. of torque. That might be enough.

Ken, other people have used an electric window motor to fabricate an electric control..If you have a auto junkyard locally you may be able to get a used motor and control switch and make you own.
