Just so you all know I am not wimping out on plowday because of predicted bad weather I thought I would let you all know just what kind of pain killer the doctor prescribed for me due to me crushing my back last sunday.
Brand name: Roxicet / Oxycodone 5mg& Acetaminophen 325mg.
Take 1 pill every 6 to 8 hours as needed for pain.
Plus 1000mg Bayer asprin every 8 hours to relive swelling. Along with a reduction in my daily intake of warfarin(blodd thinner) to 5mg daily(normaly 10mg) so I do not bleed to easly if I happen to cut myself while taking the asprin.

Lonny - I could give ya 10mg of morphine, that should get ya there and back! They have little effect on my back but they sure knock out a nitro headache!! When I stayed in the hospital three days with my heart my back hurt so bad from laying that I'd get up and walk the halls. The doc shot me up with morphine and vallum and I still had to get up and walk the halls to get off my back. I think next time they'll handcuff me to the bed. They got a little p'd off about having to go looking for me.

KENtucky

The last time I was given morphine was back in 1990. I was hooked up to a machine that would give 1cc dose every 10 minutes. From what the doctors told me I was pushing the button every 5 minutes for an hour befor they came in and increased it to 1.5 cc every 10 minutes.
All I remember was after they changed the setting it only took anlther 1/2 hour befor I was in no pain and was able to finially get some sleep, I slept for 48 hours straight. First sleep I had had in a week.

You all have a fun time at plowday and dont forget to take lots of photos to share with those of us who can't make it this year.

Just got off the phone with Travis, So far so good.
I've got 7" on the ground and he said that it just started with light flurries at his place.

I've already kissed the missus goodbye and she won't let me take it back....She says I'm going even if it's in a Hearse....

Aw you're just affraid you'll break down AGAIN and Travis will pull you off the field @ 25mph again!

Didn't Travis say something about meeting at a bar Friday night ... that might be the best thing to do anyway. Right now the forecast for Rockford is up to 10" of snow today/tonight.

I'm thinkin the bar Friday night could turn out to be a little fun. I got the back room reserved already. I got room if someone happens to have tooooo much fun ;-)
