I found a video of a hydrostatic foot pedal conversion of a 1650 on YouTube for those of you interested (toward the end of the video). Seems to be a straight forward conversion. It also shows a fan you can install without removing the drive shaft and a few other novel items. On the search function you can type in "Cub Cadet 1650 hydrostatic fan mod", the video is by James Johnson.
