Hello again, I finally figured out where all the fuel was leaking out of. Looks like my carburetor went bad and needs a rebuild. So can anyone identify what type of carburetor i have? so I can buy the correct rebuild kit. (See images)

Take it off and look into the intake (air cleaner side).
There should be a part #26 cast into the upper inside surface.
The 127's were equipped with a (Kohler) #KH-47-853-22 carb
You need Carb KIt #KH-25-757-01
Available from many sources, check with CCS up top, I know he would have one.
be sure to check the float when you get it apart to make sure it does indeed float!
If it seems unusually heavy, shake it and listen for gas or hopefully not, water sloshing around inside indicating a leak.
In which case you will have to replace or repair it.
Floats and other carb parts are also available from CSS up top here in the sponsors ad ribbon.

So I got the carburetor off my I didn't see a #26 cast into the inside surface. The only identity numbers i could find are seen in the images. I imagine this is a kohler 301a carburetor because the gaskets look similar to a rebuild video i watched. Also I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what size of 90 degree fuel elbow i need to replace the one i have? Also should I replace the gaskets that seal the carburetor against the engine and against the air cleaner.

Carburetor to engine gasket...if original is hard as a brick or torn..absolutely replace.

Why are you wanting to replace the elbow? I heard that on some new aftermarket Carbs the threads are metric. Is that your issue?

I want to replace the elbow because it might be the source of my fuel leak. I want to eliminate that possibility.

zk322 , this thread has gotten to the point that it's not funny any more.

50 other things besides what belt size needed, which really throws the search function for others in tizzy!

Makes sense.
Since the carburetor if off and easy to play with. You can screw in Elbow to cab hold the float up so the needle valve is closing off the inlet into the bowl. Then put gas in the elbow and watch for weeping. Maybe add gas line to the elbow so you can get more gas trying to push. Tie a piece of toilet paper where the elbow threads into carb. Let it sit and see if toilet paper absorbs fuel.

AMEN Brother!!

I'm trying to figure out how to rename this thread to something more generic. But I can't figure out how to change the thread name. Any advice on how to change the thread name would be helpful.

Just to play devil's advocate here...

...I don't think the thread titles really help much, if at all, in a search. There's over a decade of posts here from the previous forum software days where every thread is titled "Archive through [date]", and so the only way to find anything in those is to search the text of the posts, and even then, it can be very challenging to find anything unless you know exactly what phrase to search for.

75% of the threads that get started on this forum don't have an overly descriptive title, or have typos in it that would preclude it being useful in a search. Why single out this guy?

Might as well change the title to "zk322's 127 refurbish" I guess...

I only tried to answer a question asked by zk322. Some people (not me) get pretty irate about "hijacking" threads, and don't like sorting through unrelated questions and answers to the question they originally posted when they started a new thread.

I think only Admin can move all your posts to your own thread.

The title is very similar to what i was thinking. Zk322..sifting thru my NTM 127
If someone is SEARCHING BY TEXT on a specific thing, they'll find it within these posts

Just out of curiosity I searched this forum for something called rules and or guidelines for new or existing members, nothing came up. So, if there are any, they may not be easy to find. Hijacking a thread is not the end of the world or against the rules in this forum.

This thread wasnt even hijacked. The issue, as i see it. Is that a new member Titled his thread with his first Cub Issue.... Belt size.
As he played further he ran into more Cub issues and continued questioning on the "Belt Size" thread.
Ive been following this thread. New Posts in regards to this thread pop up in my email, so it makes it conenient to keep track of zk322"s 'adventures'.
Having every issue itemized on separte threads would end up being confusing.
I dont mind where this "Belt Size" thread ended up going.

Ok, tkhoffman, Now I get it, I didn't go back far enough to realize that zk322 started this thread, my mistake. I'll go lay by my dish now 🥹

Hey, I'm back with more carburetor issues. I rebuilt the carburetor with a kit from i save tractors.com and now it leaking out the front of the carburetor onto the air filter. Then onto the ground, so what would be the cause of this issue? I'm thinking of just replacing the entire carburetor because I keep having issues with this 50 year old carb. I see i save tractors.com sells the carburetor any thoughts on this will be a great help. I also attached some pictures as well. Another thing i don't understand is how it leaked at least a gallon of gas onto the ground, when the fuel shut off valve was shut tight on the fuel sediment bowl.
