Well I have a battery Cable to replace. I saw a low charge last time I used the tractor. Funny it`s as long as the tractor runs good ,we tend not to do all the maintenance our Cubs (tractors) require. I will replace that cable, because I don`t know if this green is because of damage inside the cable( strand broke and
arking!) causing and showed up at the battery.I will need some cable and I will add the glue style shrink wrap to prevent moisture also. This issue is solvable but makes me think ,how much old wiring is out there on Cubs.

The good part is . This means all my ground wires connections are good.

I am looking for a snow blade for my 128 in my area and having no luck, so I thought about building one. I thought about attaching it to the quick hitch on the front, but I don't know if it will have enough structural support. I really don't want to drill or weld into the frame, but does anybody have any ideas about building one? Thanks

Andrew S.
That's where blades attach.
Head over to the manuals section and download the installation manual and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Lucas I run one duel on my plow tractor a 149. I have 12x12x26 inside and one 8.50 for the on land duel. I been useing it to do blade work in my back yard and that duel sticks out past the blade, especially if the blade is angled to the left.

Lucas Jones,
THEY SUCK! The tractor is too wide for the plow, plus you don't want floatation when plowing snow. It's kinda like 10# of ---- in a five pound bag.

LOL,
Don't hold back, tell us how ya really feel Tom!

Thanks for the info, after Toms advice, and the price of some nice IH dual adapters it put that on hold.

Does anyone have any experience with stens con rods?

Tom, Im with Charlie on that one.

Lucas, my connecting rod (Im assuming thats what you meant) in my K301 has done great so far, I polished some of the casting flash off of it and thats about all it needed. It looked pretty good and was machined nicely, Ill be able to report better once I get some more hours on the engine.

Good morning, All.

I've a question. Is there a way to test a coil without instalilng it on the tractor? The reason that I am asking is a friend needs a coil and I said that I'd send him one only I don't know if it is a good one without putting it on and then taking it off the tractor. And... finally it is a Tecumseh engine that he has and mine are all Kohler. TIA for your assistance with this.

It is 32* outside and Fancy and I are going to wait another hour before venturing out. It is supposed to get into the mid 50s today. Everyone have a great weekend.

My lovely wife, Janie, the love of my life, my soul mate, my life's partner, passed away a few days ago after 44 wonderful years of marriage. I will miss her terribly.

Norm my prayers will be with you and your family.
