Just as Anthony P. was gearing up for the snow storm, I went out to swap out the mower deck for the snow plowing setup, surprisingly, it wouldn't start! Checked for spark, no problem there.. checked for fuel.. Nope, bone dry at the carb. So I replaced the fuel filter and the hose as it was dryed and cracked. Also replaced the oil. Then on to front and rear tires and then the plow/blade. Took about 3 hours and then woke up to find just a dusting! That's just fine with me tho'..

Mike E that is a nice looking 782

what can you tell me about that front bumper

I worked a little on Fancy's 782 this weekend and then put it away for the winter. We're going to save up since it needs a carburetor rebuild, electric fuel pump installed. new solenoid, battery, and a tune up, etc... After it was put away we had our customary ride around town with the 782D until he started getting cold.

Ryan M. Nice job of plowing. Fancy wants to know when you're coming out again.

Marlin-I havent forgot about ya...I was thinking this Saturday or Sunday, because I will probably stay out here this weekend. That way we can super-tune that hydro lift of yours

I will send you an email.

I found the missing speed in my 1250.

It never has had the forward or reverse speed that it should have.

Today, I took a quick look at the hydro linkages and found the neutral centering arm was too short and not able to get to the ends of the Y slot. It was probably only allowing about 2/3 motion before it bound up. I adjusted the rod, making it longer. Now I have full range of motion of everything from the dash lever to the trunion.

But better yet, I have the full speed the tractor is supposed to have. I will especially appreciate the added reverse speed.

I mounted up the front blade. We probably won't see any more snow for 2 months, but now I have "ramming speed".

Thanks for the compliments on my 782 guys. It looks better in the pics than up close, but it's in good shape. I got the front bumper off ebay for a few bucks before I got the 782. It's supposed to fit a cub 1600. I don't know what that is; I just wanted it. I was going to make it mount on an old mule drive, but I decided to cut it down a bit and mount it to the frame. I can still use the quick attach this way.

Good morning guys-

I just pulled the latest 149 out to start working on some and found the crankcase breather missing. Is a breather from a K301 the exact same animal as that found in the K321? I tried parts look up and they show all of the same gaskets and such but not the breather as an assembly. I'm assuming it is but would like a little reassurance. All I want is to get this tractor running for now. I still have to pull the engine for a proper cleaning and I'll probably split the darn thing anyway. I hate to go this far and not do seals and gaskets so...

TIA for any info on the breather.
