Will the hyd pump and lift { like what Steve B has on his 100 fit on my 127 ? thanks Rob

Rob D,
I know IH offered an optional electric lift for the 127, but I've never seen a side hydraulic put on one, but anything should be possible. ;-P

Charlie the reason I'm considering a hyd lift is because everyone that I talk to says that the electric lifts are unreliable. I don't know much about either lift, but I do know after tilling 5-6 gardens my right arm is toast...

Rob, it should fit just fine.

Billy Burroughs has one on his 126 which is from the same series as your 127 except it's a gear drive.

Rob,

Yes, it will fit right on a 127. IMHO,the hydraulic lift unit is far better than the electric lift option....but that's just MHO....YMMV, yada, yada, yada

Thanks guys ...now I know what my wife can get me for my birthday...she loves me she loves me not

Rob D,
Personally I really like the electric lift as it gives me more up/down control without the jerky movement found with hydraulic lifts, especially when you have the RPM's at full bore. I till on average, 7,000 ft. a year and wouldn't put the tiller on anything but electric. But that's just me.

Boys & Girls...

We know about the problem, but we have no resolution to it yet. So you can stop posting and e-mailing that "you've seen the error." When it's fixed, we'll let you know. More posts & e-mails will just slow us down

I realize that its 100% personal preferece but which lift will give the operator more control, choice , and depth/ height settings

Rob,

The electric may work well, as Charlie stated, for tillers, BUT I find them too slow and (usually) underpowered, for things like blades, blowers, etc....especially with heavy and repetitive use (like plowing the whole neighborhood out of a big snow). Dad has an electric on his tiller, and it's ok for that, but would be very annoying for the other tasks I mentioned.....too slow.

The hyd. unit will probably require less work/maintenance over the long haul and will probably have more lifting power.

Rob D,
For you! I'd say go hydraulic, either way you won't regret it for a minute.
Course after I got used to it, throwin snow was kinda cool too with the 147, course I'm always slow!

Can anybody ID this 42" mower? Should it have gauge wheels, cover on the left side, etc?

Thanks
John

John, on that version the gauge wheels were optional. It should have a cover on the left side though. That version was for the the 1x8/9 series.

Thank's Kraig, the reason I asked is there is some confusion about which model it is. A dealer told me it's the wrong one for my 109. I see some have round runners and others more flat shaped. Mine came with 1 of each.

The picture in the owners manual shows the flat runners. Yet a parts list I have has round ones. Just wondering if there is any real difference between the two.
John

John "G",
That looks like a 38"C" deck. Kraig is correct in saying the it should have a plate covering the lft side.

Does anyone have any opinions on this?
I built this earlier this spring.
I just ordered another valve and cylinder to remove the manual lift arm and replace with a hydralic lift.
The tractor originally came with the electric lift.
BTW you can buy an electric lift new from Duff Norton for about $280 if anyone is interested.

Mark wrote "I bought a gas tank through ebay and it was supposed to fit all older styles. When I received it, it wouldn't fit. The dimensions are 5x6.25x12.75 and looks like it is for the 104, 105, 106, 107 and maybe the 100 and 102, I can't tell from the parts manual. I think the part number is either a KH230048 or KH235370. Can anyone help?"

Mark I don't have any dimentions, but in the TC-133 parts catalog that part number KH-235370 does fit a 102,104,105,106,and 107. The model 100 shows a KH230164. I thumbed through manual, but did not see KH230048.
Hope this helps.
