While taking our daily afterwork walk and seeing snow all over the place Fancy and I agreed that we'd rather be doing either this...

or this...

As I ponder getting my 1450 put back together (no, the parts weren't finished yet at the machine shop today

), I'm wondering about the hydraulic lift valve - specifically, do I need to worry about air getting trapped in the valve or lines when I put it back together? The service manual says to cycle the cylinder several times to expel air. Sounds like it'll take care of itself, and move the air back to the rear end reservoir - is that right? I'm just recalling how I had to help my dad bleed the break lines on the old family truckster-mobile when I was a kid, by pumping he brake peda and holding it while he opened & closed the far end.

Greg,

you are correct, it will purge the air as you cycle the cylinder several times. Might be a jerky until all air is out...air gets compressed after all.

Remember to recheck oil levels afterwards, that's all.

Marlin-

That is one neat cat. I have two and when I bring out a cub they're no where to be found. You must have started her very early or did she start herself?

Guess Hell must have froze over if Charlie is gonna keep his yap shut and not make a profound statement!!! :D

I consider myself a nebie still after a year and I missed what started it all earlier so i will stay out of it. So here is my on topic question Is it easier to remove the pto clutch on my 129 when the engine is off the tractor or on? Or does it not matter on the level if difficulty

Howdy, I know this has probably been asked many times here, but I haven`t seen it, so which snowblower models will fit a 100 ? Are the mower mount brackets used for the blower too ? I`m not scared of doing some fabrication, I just don`t want to waste a lot of time with the wrong parts. Thanks..........Lyle

Lyle-

CW36, CC36/42, QA36/42, QA36A/42A. I'd stick with a 36" thrower with a 10 hp though. It usually takes a minimum of a good strong 12 hp to run the 42" thrower in my experience.

OK...got a hypothetical question for the masses. I have a Cozy Cab for something next generation to the QL, a couple spots don't quite match up to QL body lines. It's missing the front closures, I made them from plexi...well one broke this year, rear window and gasket and left side window but gasket is there just someone ran forks through the glass. The right window is there but has a few cracks...I think that's where they stopped the forks. The windshield is in GC as is the gasket. The windshield wiper does work also. The door latches work good and I can lock them but the key I found doesn't fit correctly. Overall the steel is also in GC. Lets say..hypothetically..I wanted to trade it for a IH Windbreaker, would the present owner get the better side of the deal ? I would rather them get the better deal. I ask cause there is a two fold problem for me, I want to change my 1450 to round fenders so the cab will not work, second part is the way our ground heaves with our weather the top of the cab will sometimes rub on the way out of the Cub Cave. Well...more like will usually rub. Would still have issues with the doors not fitting up with the round fenders unless by chance a Windbreaker from a NF would physically bolt on...ya right...So, what say you ?
