A few years ago my brothers started a plowing day at my brother Dave’s farm. This year my brother Dave passed away in April, but continued with the plowing day in his honor. The day started off with a memorial ride with 44 tractors, which was lead by his “new toy” that he bought a year or 2 ago, a Steiger. Then plowed the rest of the morning, stopping at noon for lunch. But before lunch, we had a service and my nephew took the Steiger and plowed a furrow and Dave’s ashes were spread in the furrow. My brother Henry, followed with our Dad’s favorite tractor, a Farmall M-TA, to cover the ashes.
