Hi Mike...how is MM? Fancy had a runny eye this afternoon and I thought of MM and his eye...

Wayne, good to hear that Lynda made it thru the surgery fine. I am sure she is a little sore, or a LOT, and the hormones are causing the howls and such but that shall cease..soon enough as Mother nature takes care of her. At least you know you dont have to go thru another " heat".. lol. Did they suggest how long to keep her in before you let her out again? I would think a good week or so or maybe two? I suppose she will let you know when she's feeling up to it, but dont make it to soon.. those insides need to heal up even if the outer side looks ok.

When Hannah had her surgery she ended up in a kennel for month after. They found when they went in that her insides, female organs and such were a mess. She was young, but the problem was , they said, she was probably " inbred" which I think everyone knows what that means, right? lol.

As Mike said, we are all here to share..to VENT..and to support one another. Thats what I love about this board.

well I am off to bed. I stayed up abit as Hannah wasn't feeling to swift and I wanted to watch her abit..she seems better now.

Hi Cath! Meow Meow is doing okay, thanks for asking. Yesterday after shoveling snow Chris and I were laying on the bed with a blanket pulled over us, we were just resting and relaxing when he decided he wanted to be the center of attention, so he lays between us on his back so we can scratch his belly just purring so loudly and when we weren't fast enough he would sit up and "plop" himself back shaking the bed and making us laugh! What a ham!!

Mike..awww, how cute and how funny.! He is such a ham.!! I know, the kids really keep me in stitches..they are always doing something thats funny.

I feel sorry for Annie. Ever since the last spat her and Tootsie got into..well, I would scold her, but not harshly, more like having a serious talk with her, she would jump off the couch and I would put her back, as I thought she was going for Toots again. Well we did that about three times and then I watched as she got down and she didnt bother her anymore. But the last few days, she totally avoids Toots and has this sad, forlorn look like " Tootsie hates me, she doestn love me anymore"..I mean it is soooo sad looking. Yesterday Toots was up on the table and Annie was minding her own business under the table, but toots started growling so I softly asked Annie if she could find somewhere else to sit, and she quietly got up and went and sat on her stool/scratching post..and then gave these sad eyes looks that about broke my heart. I have been telling her over and over how much I love her and what a good girl she is, but man, it is like something took the wind out of her sails, and it is really really bothering me.

I got the spirit essence stuff, the peacekeeper forumla. Dont think I need it now, but maybe it will settle down Toots so she doesnt growl at Annie. I dont mind, I just dont want Toots upset. Guess I will just put it in everyones water and see how it goes.

David, what a beautiful cat! All that white fur would not look good covered in grease.

David S. Princess needs her own little kitty shop coveralls so she doesn't get al dirty. she is one very beautiful kitty.

Wayne S. How is the newest addition to the family coming along? You can teach him to be your Cub Cadet Guard Cat.

Marlin-

I don't see him every day and that may be a good thing. I started calling him Gary, don't ask me why. I felt he needed a name. I even went a bought some food just for him and now I'm having to run 'possums off left and right in the evening. I put a little food out after the guys have all come in for the day.

Lynda's back outside and having a good time with the others during the day. Two days ago she learns she can easily get on the roof of the house. What she didn't learn is how to get back down. I keep an 8' step ladder by the back door now for routine rescue and she's usually ready to come right to me. She still has to stay in her cage at night but has settled down a lot since being sterilized.

I'll be glad to get Gary fixed and returned back here. I don't know how much I can help him immediately after the surgery. I've never done a TNR before either. I think boy cats have a better time coping with the operation than girl cats so maybe I can just let him go back at the barn. The vets will know.

Those are great photos David S., thanks for sharing them!!

Wayne, it's good to hear the kittys are doing better and (mostly) getting along.

David, I can't believe how WHITE Princess is. She must spend endless hours taking off the grease from her day job in the shop? lol. She is such a beautiful girl.

Wayne, I had to smile with your naming of the boy kitty. Gary? how cute is that? also good to hear that Lynda is doing well.

Cath

Cath, It was really funny when she 1st jumped up there not knowing what to expect I think. Any way, there she was w/her 2 left feet on one frame rail and the other 2 on the other rail w/this look on her face like "WHAT???!!! ARE you doing to MY CUB!!"

Of course by the time I got the camera I couldn't for the life of me get her to stand like that again!! And was lucky to get those two shots.

She is really not all that white, now anyhow. If she is in the snow, the gray, from my unsealed concrete floor, really stands out cuz she spends 99% of her day in the shop and hardly ever goes outside if it is below freezing. However, in the summer she really whitens back up. I sure love her to pieces as she is such a sweetheart. I keep telling her she has quite a fan club!! Ha Ha!
