Hello, I am a new member, I have an 1961 cub cadet. My dad used to have a cub cadet when he was a kid and he introduced me to them. We found an estate deal where this man had a multitude of lawn mowers and mechanist equipment. It was a while ago but I think we got 3 cub cadets including mine with attachments and I've just recently started to restore mine. I have worked with the color yellow before and I know it doesn't cover well, so I decided to paint it with a yellow then go over it with the correct color. My father is a purest but I am just doing what I can with the funds that I have. I could probably wait and save up to paint it with the "cub cadet" colors but I just want it functional and look decent. If y'all know where I can get paint that won't break the bank I'd appreciate it, I'm probably not looking in the right places.

WELCOME! Are you looking for "rattle can" spray paint or paint for a sprayer? If you are okay with rattle can paint, Rust-Oleum Magnolia is a very close match for the yellow but it might have been discontinued. A second choice would be Rust- Oleum Marigold which is also pretty close.

Amazon Rust-Oleum Marigold

The white is going to be harder to get a "close enough" match. I have not tried this one but it might be close:

Krylon International Harvester White

Not to upset the purests but I saw a red/white and silver original at the fair this year it was painted to match the rest of the international tractors the owner had - farmall cub, 1466, 85#ish with a cab and some cub cadets painted the same a 72 and looked like a 1000/1200/1400 type without the side panels. They looked good all lined up
