Digger -- I got a "1" point fer it but B&B wont let me post pic of it here

Knowing that for myself to tiptoe into this topic is thin ice for me, both on the forum and at work . . . . BUT
I could REALLY think of a lot better way to spend $17,000, like buying a fleet of 169's or somewhere in the neighborhood of 4-6 nice SGT's, or a couple nice SGT's and an enclosed trailer or a near-new Cub totin' diesel pickup, but to buy ONE garden tractor. I don't have enough socks to smoke to make that even possible.

Kentuck,
I really don't think these would hang off the back of that little guy, but I'll betcha Art could or even Ryan with his new green thingy!

Got 60 tonight. Garbage truck left it behind, so I rescued it. Pictures tomorrow.

Charlie,
Kinda' looks like one of the ol' Cross mount Case tractors.

Hey now...I don't own a green thingy...Art on the other hand does!

But you can send those Cat '0' toys my way...I could use that swivel boom, and use the aux hyd to lift the boom...

Question--Will the Hydralic lift on a 149, pick up a 80# Yard Aerator plus maybe 300# of tubesand,
Thank ART

Paul,

You can't use the old/existing 149 heat shield with the quiet kit because the muffler won't fit.

Here is the old (149) heat shield.

Here is the new (169) heat shield.

To make the new heat shield fit one 7/16" hole needs to be drilled. I laid the old heat shield over the new shield to determine exactly where the hole should be.

I trimmed the elbow so approx 7/8" remained. I applied some muffler epoxy (the gray stuff) over the pipe threads as I thought that might help prevent exhaust from escaping.

Anyone know what the backspacing on Super Garden tractor wheels is? I'm 99% sure they're 8.50 wide rims, but can't find where the backspacing is listed.

Art R,
Lets see, a #2 tiller weighs around 225 pounds complete and take of 25 of that for the gear box and mount since your not liftin that. I wouldn't!
BUT! I have seen pics from Wisconsin with 200+ guys ridin plows, dunno if any liftin was goin on though!

Wyatt, $17.000... If I'd started with that much when I bought my 684 and 6' tiller attachment, I'd have had enough change left over to buy several 169s, or at least one really nice used SGT. Down here, you could buy a couple of pretty fair open-station 966s or 1066s and have a little bit of change left over from $17,000. Amazing what folks will do with their money sometimes.

'Course, now, it'd be kinda tough to mow a 1/4 acre yard with a 1066... ;-)

Paul D.

You don't even have to change the check valves, just swap over the tunnel cover from the 149 and use the lever on the button style (I prefer the button style, but that's my 2 cents)
