This is the 1st Simplicity restoration that I have done. I have been restoring Cub Cadets for years and finally decided to do a Simplicity. It's almost finished, should be done by Friday. I was very pleased with the quality of this tractor. Well built and I like the fuel cap hole in the hood. I already have another Landlord model ready to do next. After that I will be back to restoring CC's ( a 982 and an "O").

Nice, Mike, very nice. Funny, but I was just thinking today of my first "real little tractor". It was a Simplicity 725. I tinkered it up and used it some, then found a Cub Cadet 105 for $50. Got that going, got a computer, found the forums, one thing led to another and 10-1/2 years later here I am - hooked on the Cubs but with a lot of respect for the Simplicity!

Mike,
Nice job. I hope my wheel horse comes out half as good. I wish I still had my Boardmoor 717. It would have made a great resto project. Oh if I didn't sell it I would not have my 1250 or be a part of this site.

When I got my first cub cadet my brother had just gotten a simplicity landlord. He tried to talk me into buying one but I liked the CC better. My nephew still has the landlord and every spring and fall he pulls it out to till his garden. That had to be in the late 60's.

I had a 7116 simplicity dropped off in my driveway to "make it go away". PO was really frustrated with it. I made a few adjustments. Man does it cut nice even wet heavy grass in the rain. Well built solid machine. The chassis is good and heavy, I think I'll build a loader for this one.
