Just took this picture off my patio.

You can return the favor this summer when I'm facing 120 degrees.

Keith-

Did someone sneak some spring onions in that flower bed???

I don't know what kind of flowering bulb they are, but they aren't onions. They are invasive and multiply rapidly.

Keith, the purple/blue flowers along the front and left side of the bed are Blue-Grape Hyacinth (Muscari aucheri) I believe Mike was asking about the longer leaf plants in the right rear corner of the planting bed, are they perhaps a type of Iris?

Richard, that view off of your patio is so inviting right now. The weather guessers are saying we might get another <strike>2 to 4 inches</strike> Under edit: just heard an update, they are now saying 4 to 6 inches of snow this evening.

I could go for <strike>2 to 4 inches of nice lush green grass for a change.</strike> Now I want to lay out in a lush field of clover with the sun shining on me with 80° temps.

Friend of mine in "Tulip Capitol" Pella,Iowa says it's been so wet down there with all the rain that her tulips are all emerging from the ground wearing personal floatation devices!!!

Good thing I'm on top a hill with all the rain I'm getting. Got 3 days without rain so I tilled the small garden today. Supposed to rain again tomorrow.

Keith,

Nice pics!
The blooms have already fallen off of my flowering almond. Here's what it looked like:

Marty, Spring must happen earlier at your place. I see a lot of leaves on the trees too. Must be Smokie mountains on one side and the ocean on the other making a natural highway for southern warm air. I'd like to live out your way but can't give up the family farm.

Keith,

I don't blame you, it's a nice looking farm from what I see. It gets hot as a two dollar pistol in the summer here.

Kraig,
Man this crap is gettin old real quick!!!!
We got some of that white stuff too.
NOW, they are saying again tomorrow and Thursday, Grrrrrrrr

Charlie, Kraig-

Why don't ya'll do like about 75% of the northern US and 95% of Mexico and just move to NC???? Apparently, according to our local politicians we have an ample supply of water, plenty of housing space after the trees are gone, enough landfills for the entire US, and just millions of miles of roads. We might see 3" of snow maybe twice a year and that is all gone in a matter of days, not weeks. Plus, in the summer when it's hot as "a two dollar pistol" as Marty puts it we have humidity beyond belief. You can stand in the shade and sweat bullets.

Yes, the south is the place to be!

Yeah we got about 3 inches of that wet white stuff here in Menomonie too. I was just commenting yesterday, I see more and more bare ground, and now this.
But if the birds are any indication of spring, we still have juncos here and they usually go North for the summer. And I have not seen a red-winged blackbird yet.
Usually we start getting the blue birds about now. And orioles and hummingbirds start arriving around the 1st of May. So they better hold off for a while unless they are wearing long johns!

Wayne,

Two things; we only see 3" of snow every other year instead of twice a year, and it's gone in a few hours instead of a few days!
