A lot of times, there are significant changes in a person's life that impact their interests.. It took Charlie nagging a little for me to start posting again (he knew I was lurking - he sees ALL).. This forum has too many good friends to stay away forever - I suspect that someday we'll see some of those other names pop up again

Ken and I (and a few other forum members) exchange emails on a regular basis. Ken is still around and still grumpy. He just doesn't seem to want to check in here. I may have to do some more prodding...

Kraig, That's good news. Tell KenTuck we need his wisdom on the forum, too!...

You might have a point Mike! Let's think, what topic would really light him up? (Kinda like electrical or motorcycle stuff with Kendall/Kendell/Gerry Ide

)

(Couldn't resist, Gerry!)

It just hit me - Kentuck's lurking. He doesn't have to log in to do that.

Hey Kraig - Oh Great One Keeper of the Photos - just go and tell ole KENtuck that if he comes back I'll leave (well won't post at least). That should roust him enough to get some action. He never did like my stuff about Kentucky. The truth is he was one of the best contributors to the site and I do wish he would post again.

Because I'm no welder, I'm experimenting with JB WELD. Now's the time to confess that I've installed one of my JB WELDed drive couplings on Fernando, made a note of the hour on the hour meter, and plan to see how long the JB WELD holds up.

This one ain't done, yet.

Frank: Has anyone ever told you that you are a cheap *******, I mean, thrifty Yankee?

(Like you, I hate coughing up the dough for the new cup I need on my 149, as long as I can keep myself in solid drive pins, I'm using it as-is until I tear it down and rebuild it.)

FRANK ! You WILL hear from the distant one if you keep messing with JB Weld ! the solid stuff you knead together works great for certain things I've found.

Frank I made my own using a pressure plate hub from a gear drive.

cut size down with metal hole saw and drilled 4 holes.

done

Wait a minute - just how the H_ _ _ _ is JB Weld gonna do any good on the drive coupling??? The dang coupling wears where the pin rotates against it. JD Weld is like glue stuff and I don't see how it could hold up. My guess is it should wear off in about 2 hours run time. Frank - let us know.

I'm planning on getting some weight in my rear tires by adding the CALCIUM CHLORIDE I hear so much about; supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread!
