I think they make a special tool to remove the plastic connector, but you can take a small screwdriver and insert it into the end where the other connector goes, and push down the locking tab on the terminal while pulling on the wire. I hope that makes sense...it's not the easiest thing to explain.

Thanks ,I was hopeful thats how they came apart. Well I removed the battery and tray, fuel pump and untied the wire harnes and found a mess. See in this picture where I used the screww driver to point out the garbage plug. I will soder and heat srink that after I remove that conector. Also the wire that was cut off the PTO switch ??? I need to find a wiring diagram and find out where that wire saw to go

I traced the wire from that blue connector and it is a power wire for the fuel pump.!why would the fuel pump wire go through the PTO switch ? Some kind of safety thing ?

Thanks to the great one Kraig, I was able to get the wiring diagram for this 1512 and found out the red wire was for the brake switch .I will heat shring that end to save a short. Now to dig deeper into this.

I think I see a splice connector in the pic you posted. I suspect the PO may have been altering the wiring. I remember this tractor having a lot of PO mods you had to undo, so I guess that wouldn't surprise me.

Yep I got an abused tractor,(But) I will keep at it till I make it a great tractor. Thats just the way I am . I don`t give easy lol.I should have done this when I had it all apart , but I just had to get some seat time in on it LoL . I have used Noalox on all the grounds that I did last week and now I will do all the other plugs and switches that I can get to .THis PTO switch is rusty and will get a good cleaning and should be fine. Thanks for your input.

Well I put it all back together so I could put the car in here tonight. I do want to test the PTO and will get my chance next storm.

I got out to use the 450 snow blower today in about 4" of powder snow. The blower did a great job but I was white when I got done. I think I will need a Cab to keep me warm and dry lol.

Hey Don,

I know the feeling; got a nice CC hard cab on my 1782 now. Did not like the snowman look either!

Jim Diederichs

Nice to hear from you ! I know this summer I will have to have a Cab made for my 1512 D . I hate all that snow blowing back in my face. I got parts for the chute controller and will install that soon, should be nice to adjust the chute from the tractor seat. Please post a few pictures of your Cab ! I want to weld or bolt two brackets on the frame by the foot plates and on my Cat o for the cab to mount to , I don`t want to drill any holes in my fenders . I have some steel here used in a pop up tent trailer and I will use that for framing the cab. It will be a pin on so I can remove it when blower season is over and will tilt back to open the hood. Off to the shop to install some new parts from CCS I got yesterday.

Neat video!

I love the grunt of that Kubota too.

Question for ya... It looks like that snow-blower is getting a lot of lift to it. Do you remember if you were kicking the PTO on and off everytime you lifted the blower like that? The reason I ask is because there's NO WAY I'd be able to lift mine like that without kicking out the PTO, or it would eventually throw the belt.

Nice job on the video...

Home of the Plow Special

Yep I does shut down the PTO when I lift the blower. I used it this morning for about 12' and the blower stopped working . I haven`t had a chance to look at it to see what is up yet ,i`am still pushing snow with the ATV.Looks like gearbox is turning and nothing else. I will have to give it another look in the am.Might just be the belt slipping , I used the old belt that came with it and have a new belt Charlie sent me . I`ll let you know what I find is up later.

Someone posted the size of the O ring that holds on the center cap on my steering wheel on an 82 series 1512. I have a cap but would like to know if some knows what size the O ring is to hold the cap on. Thanks In Advance . Don T

Don Hope you are feeling better.O ring 1-3/4 x1/8
part number 721-3000 acording to parts lookup.

Guys I have a small problem with the cross chains on my Cat o. The attachment point keeps getting pulled out of shape and then the chain falls off allowing the Cat O to move left and right . I`am asking if it would hurt the Cat O if I drilled and bolted the chains fast on the front of the arms on my cat O. Would that weaken the cat O having a bolt ????

Thanks for the O ring size. I don`t know why I did not think to look at parts look up lol. I`am just not thinking clearly. My meds alow me to do to much and nights are not restful. Thanks again Don T

Good news for me and the 1512.I finally found a Cab for my Diesel Cub. The cab has the soft doors but hard top with wiper and lights . Frank C and I have made a trade and I have to make a trip over to Maine to pick it up. This summer I bought another 450 snow blower and now have two to use. After xmas I will bring the cab home and mount it on my 1512. I want the rear cab supports to mount on my Cat o rear bracket to save the fender from the weight. so a small mod will be done to get it done; But I do think it is doable.I think I found a cab heater and will install that also. Going to be nice to blow snow and stay warm and dry.I know from the few times I used the 450 on my 1512 that it will move a lot of snow but can be a cold wet job without a Cab.once I get the Cab mounted I will be looking at making hard doors for it. I might look at fiberglass as a replacement material to the canvas . But I`am sure it will work fine for this winter as it is. Thank you Frank for thinking of me and finding me a Cab for my 1512 D . Now I will be able to blow snow in comfort like Art A !

Don T., not sure why I didn't see it before but, instead of drilling holes in the arms of the cat.1 lower links why not use the holes in the rear plate? Just to the inside of the lower links. I know it's been awhile but I was reviewing this thread and it just came to me! LOL.. OH, and congrats on the cab.. I'm jealous for sure. Cab is nice when throwing snow.

Mike F

Well I have a trailer hitch bolted to those holes now. I will just remove the Cat O arms and use the hole for cat O adjusting clevis . I thought a u shaped support to hold up the back of the cab and just a bolt on each foot rest for easy removal in summer.I think it has two holes and I will use both to make the cab stable . I can`t wait to get it here and install it and blow some snow . Can`t let Art A and Kraig M have all the fun. I think the cab will put the fun back into snow removal lol.
