Anyone have one of these or something similar? I know nothing about Massey garden tractors, but I have to say that I REALLY like the looks of this thing.

Jim - If it's like the old ones it'll be a 16 Kohler with a shaft driven Sunstrand ... but Simplicity took over production at one point so who knows what's under the hood now. A friend of mine has an old 1650 and had a 1450 too that I never could talk him out of. I'd trade 4 cubs for that one !

The old ones were built "right".

In my opinion that thing just looks really stout. I wonder how old it actually is. I found it on another site and a guy just restored it for his son or son in law. Can't remember. Anyway, he's just going to give it to him??!!!?!!! Must be nice.

Jim T. VERY sweet. This winter when I got the two MF12s at auction I passed on an MF14. I know of one like that for sale. Can't remember if it is a 1450 or 1650. The fella had it given to him after the new owner of a farm back was going to shove it in the dumpster. I should check on it only I know it won't be cheap. Besides what would I do with it?

Ken. I'm home today with the flu bug that has Angel down and out. Next time I get over to the fella I'll get you some pics and more info. Right now I know of a MF12 Hydro with mower and snowthrower that a gentleman wants $300.00 for it. It smokes a little and hasn't run in three years. I have two Cubs waiting for me to finish up. No room in the garage or shed. E:mail me if'n you desire more info on the MF12 Hydro.

p.s. How would we get it to your place? With the price of gas I'm not heading to Kentucky anytime soon.

Marlin - I'm not familiar with the 12 hydro, get pics when ya can. We could get Charlie to run it down here with my next parts order.

Gas isn't high , just wait ....

Gas went up to $3.59.9 or up a dime while I worked today. On the pics I'll try for this weekend. Charlie... may I ride along with ya? I would love to meet Ken.

Marlin - They keep talking about $7 dollar a gallon gas and $200 per barrel of oil not out of the question.

Be afraid
Be very afraid
You don't want to meet me !
neither does Charlie , that's why I can't get him down here

Jim - Could you email me the full size pics of that killer MF ?

Home from work again today. I shouldn't have gone back yesterday. Angel and I both are just barely hanging in there right now. I have to go and work on a 125 sometime today. That is a definite must do.

If gas hits $7.00/gallon then the world will know the next depression that my parents and grandparents talked about. The one that it will take a bushel basket of money to buy a small bag of groceries. One that you could easily hold in one hand without worrying about the bottom of the bag tearing.

I think that Charlie doesn't want to travel far from home unless he can figure out how to make CC Specialties a portable business. Sorta like the mobile shoe truck that comes once a month to work.

Marlin - When I went to the bone cracker friday gas was $3.70. It may get to were we can't afford to mow our grass this year if it keeps on like this. I did slack off some last year because of the prices.

It'll take somebody like Charlie with a mattress full of money to travel anywhere !

Ken,

I just saved those pics off another website. I've been trying to find them but honestly I can't remember which site it was. I'll keep looking and I can email you the ones I saved. I don't know much about all this stuff but can't you just resize the pictures? I guess I could resize them and email them to you if that works????? You can email me [email protected] and let me know what size they need to be.

Does anyone know of any forums or sites where I can get some information on tracked garden tractors. I've seen some old brands such as Agratrac, Rinel, Agricat, etc. Anyone have any info?

Does anyone know where to check the hydrostatic oil level in a Ford Jacobsen LGT 165, or a web site that will give info on these tractors.
thanks
Doug
