Thx for the information. After more research I found the NGK spec plug p/n of NGK-724U but it discontinued everywhere. I found them on JEGS, placed the order and it was canceled. Thx for your link included above. Looking at the images, it appears the tip diameter is the larger (5mm) variety. My application (Mitsubishi 3SL engine) although stated as compliant needs the 4mm diameter. The electrode diameter is not included at all in any specs - head scratcher! I have some plugs on order from both Ebay and Amazon, one due today. I cast a wide net hoping to find 4mm GPs that will work.
Should I be concerned about the rated voltage on these plugs if not what the original spec for the 3SL calls for?

Actually the good folks at Messicks would probably be willing to measure one for you. Give them a call.
Thank you, I had seen that one on Messicks last week, the electrode is 5mm.

I found the correct glow plugs on Amazon, purchased one to confirm, it arrived today. Now placed an order for more. Very pricey but the correct NGK GP that measures 4mm.

Ouch. Very pricey as compared to the ones that are called out to fit that engine.
Is there an actual NGK part number on the box? It would be nice to try and cross it without using the 31a66 number.
I guess they used a different Head with the 4mm opening.
