Most every carb kit that I ever used had instructions and a float gauge in the package.

OEM Kohler kits do not. It is assumed that the user will read the service manual for info and possesses a measuring device.

Alright, I messed with the carburetor some more. I installed a new float i set it to the specs called for in the service manual and made sure everything was tight as well. I tried everything suggested to me in the previous posts on this form. After doing all that it still leaked gas. So I decided to just buy a new carburetor assembly. I need help deciding where to buy it from. Who sells the best replacement carburetors for a kohler k301a engine? I know of i save tractors.com but are there others places to buy it from?
