Soo... it seems I might have a bigger problem than my no-start/timing/spark issue I recently posted about.

The copper gasket on the bottom of fuel bowl has been seeping. I had found a cork gasket in my spares, and was planning to add it between the copper & bowl, once I got this thing running. (K301)

Went and pulled anyway, and now, on a brand new carb, theres a thin layer of carbon residue in the bottom of the bowl. Absolutely clean looking fuel bowl on the gas tank. Got me thinking there might be a stuck/broken/worn intake valve. Getting some fuel weeping back out of the thraot of the carb, too... I had just chalked it up to carb needing adjustment, after i got it at least coughing/trying to fire...

Had the plug out, & watched the exhaust valve open/close, to help set the static timing mark, to make sure I was on the compression stroke vs exhaust. I DID notice the exhaust valve seemed to move ever so slightly sideways when it hit full close/seating... vOv

Just checed compression with a gauge, & she hits 20 psi even, and seems to be holding there pretty well. Turning by hand tho, it only drops to 5 psi, thru the exhaust stroke... Doesnt ever go below, & hit 0 psi... is this normal?
