Hey Wayne - that "upward arc" crap came from ME!!! Cause IH did it that WAY!!! So you better put an upward arc in all your rubber hose fuel lines real quick or the IH Police will be after you!!!

Here's a pic of my 109's fuel tank and line to the carb. It mostly flows downhill all the way.

If you take the picture upside down

It would appear the fuel is running from carb back to the fuel tank...

On another note, I need to install the new spark plug wire and boot I bought from Charlie a while back...

Just a caution on the use of muriatic acid. It will destroy aluminum. The machinist I go to uses it to clean the aluminum off crankshafts that have broken a rod. And be extra careful with the fumes, even in open outside areas it will take your breath. Don't know about the acid Frank Currier mentioned but I loved Maine when I vacationed there. Only thing is they had an accent and trouble pronouncing the letter r.

LaRRy: You didn't come faR enough noRth! However, I won't disagree with you. I spent my formative years in OxBow, just 40 miles north of Patten and THEY have "the accent".

WE have the Ke-Ke bird. Ke-ke-ke-Rist it can get cold, here. There's even bigger ones in Minnesota.

Before I get further off topic, here, I pulled the breather off the K341 today and the valves are doing their up and down dance. I didn't check the clearances. Yet. I'm supposing their .009 intake and .018 exhaust? Also wondering whether to use a plastic bucket, cardboard box or (in keeping with the area) a potato basket to start putting parts into.

Getting back to batteries, Dennis, you said you've been running 500 cca car batteries in your narrow frames. Did you have to modify you battery compartment to get a car battery to fit? I've been trying to find a car battery for my 104 but can't seem to find one to fit. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know what type of front pulley setup is needed to allow a Model 2 tiller to work on a 70/100? A seller tells me his would not be compatible with my tractor. Is this different than a mule drive for a pin-on mower deck? I already have several of those.
