Just a side note; you folks using the wider lift bracket on an 82 series with Super Steer have already found out that you have tire clearance issues.

The work-around is a balancing act: you'll want to fabricate the famous "Blunier Ramming Speed" lift rod, and then want to put about a 20° down bend into about the last 8" of it. You'll run very tight clearance to the tire and the side panel, but it can be done.

Oh sure Kraig, just when I thought i got it figure out!! Throw a wrench into my plan!!
Ok, so where is the rest of the pictures from the sales part of the blade attachments??
Wyatt you have a pic of the "Ramming speed" modification?? Lol

The more I look at that picture Kraig, the more I like that design from stand point of levelling top soil or scraping snow. Have the option of being aggressive OR letting the blade ride over stuff in a more gentle fashion? Just thinking out loud?? Anyone have this set up? Likes or dislikes?

Mike, here are some photos of Steve B's Ramming Speed© lift rod.

Here's a drawing I made years ago of an adjustable lift rod using some of Steve B's Ramming Speed© lift rod details.

Holy Cow!! Now that's a beefy look'n lift rod! Wow, if you had the traction you could move a mountain without bending that thing.
In your drawing, what was the plan for the ends, threaded stock that was bent?

Kraig and Mike,

It looks like the bracket that I showed may be a CCC product. But it did show up on the 782 parts lookup. Its part of the adapter package 190-316-100. This package has both, the clamp for the manual lift and a bracket for hydraulic lifts. The hydraulic bracket is cut off in the diagram that I posted earlier. I also saw pictures of the bracket with the three mounting holes being slotted to allow mounting options.

Mike, if I were to build one, I'd either thread the rod after bending it or weld a stub onto threaded rod. I wouldn't want to use a threaded section in the lift bracket hole for fear of increased wear.

Ken, I've come to that conclusion as well, the bracket is a CCC/MTD part.

Mike, I did make this one back around 1994 as an experiment for use with my QA42 to see what the best length was for a lift rod. I learned that the stock length lift rod was the perfect length.
