Charlie,

I think it looks strangely familiar......

Since IH used that cap decal on everything from the red cab 66 series to the 88 series, it seems appropriate......it has been my "go to" on my red supers!!!!

It's been a year of

around here. Andy sits parked out back - outside, beside a 682 . I've kind of run out of undercover storage. Over the summer my neighbor gave me a 73, dealer gave me a 100, I got another 73 and 100 from my friend Danny, bought 2 125's, and traded a 1450/snowthrower for the 682 . As I write this there's about 20 of the things here in various states of disrepair. Seems that once people find that you're interested in them that they just keep coming in. Maybe I should stop naming them?

Frank, it's like a little kitten showing up at your back door. You give it a little food and a name and it's yours forever!

Steve-
Yep! Rock Valley tractor parts has the decals and the plain clear caps (that I painted the inside black) and it comes out looking beautiful. I think I had a total of $18 in mine.

Wyatt - the cap is missing on the tractor in your profile pic? Better spend another $18.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

I finished cleaning up the tomato vines last night and got the garden plowed with my #2 782 and Brinley plow. It's always cool to hear the governor get into a KT-17 under a load. Only one thing sounds better and that's the governor on a K321 getting into a load.

Started getting the 149 ready for snow duty over the weekend by mounting the front blade but still need to get the chains on. The weather guessers are saying we will have an above average amount of snow this winter here in KS so I suppose I will put the QA-42B on the 782 soon as well. I will soon be ready for snow. Hope everyone has a safe and blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends. Happy Cubbing!!

Wyatt - but you didn't put one of the IHC caps on it. Looks like an original style.

Frank C - (ME spud picker extraordinaire)- ain't been that long ago you posted pics of your basement workshop. Looked to me like you could stack'm up in there instead of leaving them outside in the snow.

Happy BIG-TURKEY Day to one and all!!!!

It's a poser, Harry. The pellets have taken the place of firewood. Now that oil prices are relatively reasonable this area could be left open but wood heat becomes a habit. I've bet Don T. that I could put a Cub in the cellar (it'll have to go down through the Bilco Doors). Maybe, just maybe, I'll win that bet with the dead 100 that I got from Danny.

Happy Thanksgiving all, got a 100 that started jumping out of 2nd gear while plowing, what would be the most likely cause?

Gear drives with any wear at all jump out of 2nd under load.....nature of beast...they wear the front edges of the gear teeth.

Put a bungee over it to hold it in 2nd....

Jumping out of second gear!!!

Say it isn't so!!!

Ray, just another fact of life I guess!
I have to live with it also!!
although once in a while, going down hill,.....in just the right conditions, I can idle back a little and grab 3rd!!!
