Yeah Kraig I agree.
They are prolly designed to be on center of the bar. They also prolly had wide open tolerances.

No offset shown in the installation instruction drawing either.

Hey Shultzie - how bout posting a pic of your bar? The pics Kraig posted look sorta distorted and make it look like the holes have reliefs or something. Throw a yard stick in your pic too so we can tell. And another thing - how would you know if you have an original bar or a home made bar?
And finally - after all this discussions I'm gonna visit my bar

Harry,
I'll do that when I get home. It may take a few hours from now.

I have no proof what so ever, just a gut feeling.

OK. Here's mine. The reason I asked is because the 100 that I took it off of, it had an extension on the casting and the bar ran on the outside of the frame and attached somehow to the lift handle. (I didn't see that because the guy already had it unhooked)

Shultzie - heck, a couple hours! By the time I spend 2 hours at my bar I won't be able to stand - but when you post the pic of your bar I'll definitely be able to tell if it's original or a fake. (Make sure you remove the made in China sticker so it won't be real easy for me).

Shultzie - I was at my bar trying to type in my message during the 2 hours I was waiting for you to get home to your bar and you beat me to it. Now, looking at your pics I can tell you with 100% certainty your bar is original. Don't ask me how I know cause I'd have to give away my secret sauce knowledge. Just know you've got the real deal. BUT my question now is if your little block to connect the bar to the rock shaft is the real thing. You better post a pic of it too!

Harry,
LOL, Nah that thing is long gone and I don't have an extra. You're right on "I got a good deal". I paid a VERY good price for a tiller and got the rear 3 pt. free.

Missing the lower part too.
Well speaking of bars I'm headed out the the Legion for supper.

I bet there is a REALLY loose tolerance on the hole locations. It is pretty obvious looking at all of these pictures that those holes are punched and not drilled.

I lost:

Charlie - there's something wrong with that pic of the 169 muffler. The inlet pipe is supposed to be a straight connector. The curved connector fits the 10, 12 and 14hp engines. But the part no. for the 10, 12 and 14 hp muffler is IH-59365-C91 which is 1 digit off the number on the box, and that number isn't shown in the parts book so what gives with the muffler in the pic?

ANd why the differences in the seat covers? The color and the width of the white section.. is the bottom tie different also?

The noise suppression muffler that fits 108 109 128 129 149 169 can be adapted to the 169 with the nipple piece in the little Kohler box in the pic.

The seats are different because one is resto quality and the other is a working seat.

"The seats are different because one is resto quality and the other is a working seat."

SO - for this newbie... which is which?

Here you go Harry, gotta be correct yah know.
