I like the new format, too. Thanks for the improvements - we might not always say it, but I'm confident that we all appreciate your being involved here.

Whoah, cool! Like the change!

Any way to make each reply cell have a different shade/color? Alternate like some other forums do?

Recently I aqired a wide frame blade and it came with a thicker than normal lift rod and a different lift rod bracket installed on the blade. The subframe worked on my 129 but the liftrod would not work. Does anyone know what it fits. It does look like a factory rod. Its just a little thicker than the narrow frame lift rods that I am used to. I want to part it out but I need to know what it fits. I can take a picture of it if nessisary. Thanks

Denny-Schumacher is my HERO!

Keith-Wow! How nice is THAT! Congrats!

I don't know who had a hand in the format of all this and I normally don't brown nose but how nice is THIS!

All brown-nosing accepted.

We have Bryan to thank for taking a lot of his time to rework the appearance of the forum.

Several of you were in on the testing and your suggestions were appreciated. I noticed he used some of them ! ! !

Watch for more new features to come in the future. There are a few that aren't visible but should result in a smoother operating format.

Charlie. How's the swamping out coming along over in your department ?

Steve 'B",
BOY, that Haban looks right at home on the 120. SWEEEEET!!

Bryan, Does this mean by the 11:49 post that Dave is a "back door" kinda' guy?

Got the belt fixed on the Haban and "adjusted" (read cut 2" off) of the belt guard to keep it from hitting the tranny this evening. Wow is that a COOL attachment.....makes you smile every time you engage the PTO

Any thoughts about adding a truck/trailer/hauling topic while the board is being overhauled????

Only a suggestion for the powers that be......

Steve B,
The Cub haulers will be there, Rumor has it that Bryan got a little crabby tonight and had to go to bed early.

Was able to get my 782 in my friends shop tonight, to get it ready for winter. I took the air filter out and found engine oil in the filter and throat of the carb. I ran it and sure enough. it was comming from the breather. The guy I bought it from this summer said that he had to replace the govenor, and in doing so; miced out and rebuilt the upper half. (He said he was a machinist so I figured he should have done it right, since he talked about taking it to work and honing out the cylinders) My question; is there blow by because the rings didn't set or is there a problem with the breather?

TIA! since I probably wont read up until a few days from now.

Tom- be quiet- don't let my wife find out!

Actually, it means I don't waste time messin' around- I just go straight where my lust drags me... :)

That being the case, I did a little bit of cubbin' today... besides takin' Nick for his obligatory afternoon tractor-ride, I got a replacement hydraulic pump installed on Loader-Mutt, topped off the reservoir, and made a temporary deflector-sheave for the toothed-belt drive.

Really had a spat with the ignition system... when I started it up a few days ago, I had a tough time getting it to be consistent in timing adjustment, and it just wouldn't go today. Found out that the points-spring was sacked-out. After close inspection, I found that the coil was internally shorted, and the coil-current was EXTREME... which explained why I wasn't getting spark with the starter engaged (starter was suckin' all the juice). The shorted ignition coil put a really tough load on the points, heated up the spring, and it had essentially no contact pressure. Changed the points AND coil, and it fired right up.

I let the hydraulic pump get good circulation going, then topped off the reservoir again, yanked the bucket up... made it to just shy of full lift in 3 seconds (had'ta stop before hitting the rafters!). Hydraulic steering works great, but I hafta make a few geometry modifications to the cylinder mounts.

Ah... progress...

Anyone have a sketch and dimensions for the brackets for a Brinly Spring Assist? I have an extra spring and bolt and would like to fab the two brackets.

Charlie Z. the Brinly spring assist i think you are talking about is for an OriginalCub Cadet.The problem with them is they hit the back of the pan seat unless you put a kick in it away from the seat.}
