My final guess - it's a Goldini. I have never seen one but it fits your description.

OOPS! -- I DID IT AGAIN!

Gentlemen-- Isn't it embarrassing when this happens to you? Just when you (and your significant other) think you have enough Cub Cadets, along comes another, wagging its irresistable transaxle at you, and off you go! In June, entirely by accident, in the next town I stumbled across (and brought home) my first ever CC, Original #5443 (March '61). In September I drove 16 hours round trip to bring home #23520 (12/61), telling the wife I needed it for its mower deck, and she believed me. After that I knew I'd had enough, and only put an ad in the local classifieds saying I was interested in Original parts/attachment. But low and behold, someone called to say he's got an Original with a mower deck, snow blade, single bottom plow, York rake and wheel weights, and wants to get rid of it all. And would you believe it?? -- the wife says go for it! So the latest acquisition is #13953 (07/61). Now I've got to determine who gets to sleep outside this winter -- or can I get an addition built onto the garage before snow flies?

But anyway, I have a question: I emailed my brother to tell him of the new addition, and he emailed back to ask if its a boy or a girl. Now, I haven't really gotten that intimate with my CC's yet (I've only changed the oil and rebuilt a carb) so I'm not that familiar with them. Has this question ever come up before (I did read through the FAQ's but found nothing on the topic), or is there anyone out there who'd like to take a stab at an answer?

Ben - thats a tough one to call some times they wine like a female but don't b*@ch like one, but we all like the balls of steel they have.

I wanted to post pictures, so I went to the FAQ's and read through how to post a picture, but it says it can only be 50k and all my pictures are between 500 and 600 k.

Digger: I've done so, but back to my question -- upon reflection, maybe the gear-shifters are male and the hydros are female!

There was a Cub Cadet at the Illinois PD that unmistakenly MALE!! It had a couple of "things" bolted to the tranaxle. Does anyone have a picture of it? Kraig???

Had the "Little Ol' Lady" 72 out today to chop up some leaves today. That 7hp. and the 38" C/I deck really do a nice job.

Kinda' like saying goodnight to Cubs today too, got the Staybil flowing in the systems and getting ready for a long nap. One more Plow Event, and it's just about done for the season.
