Frank S.,
Thanks for sharing the good info and link regarding 'modern gasoline' blends!

The explanation provided by Kendell of one of the ways fuel stabilizers work is via, "...it forms a floating layer on top of the fuel stopping oxidation and evaporation of the light hydrocarbons in gas." makes sense to me. I'd bet MMO also possesses this quality.

Kendell I.,
Regarding your question, "On another on-topic oil subject, do the Hytran substitutes that the farm stores sell have the same hydroscopic qualities as Hytran??"

I believe that very question was brought up here some time back and I recall the consensus was, "No, they don't." You're better served sticking with the real thing.

There is a new computer virus going around and it is supposidly from UPS. It states that you ritem was not shipped and if you click on the confirmation link to confirm that you shipped the item, the virus will get into your computer. If you see ANY kind of email like this, DO NOT open it. Delete it IMMEDIATELY! I heard about htis on the news tis morning and i thought i would pass the word along. You may now continue with your normal activities.

Josh Ott,
They can also switch to Linux (Ubuntu) and never worry about squat.

KENDELL - I'm "Assuming" You mean Cooksville, WI, Mapquest says I'm less than 25 miles away.

There also happens to be a CC dealer not too far from Cooksville! ;-)

You can ride Your V-Star, I'll take My car with the heated seats!

Has anyone ever used one of those little digital tachs that "shoot" an LED or laser at a reflective piece of tape to measure rpm's?? And if so, any problems or did it seem accurate. I just purchased one yesterday and waiting for it to ship. Hope it wasn't a waste. Nick

Richard P, what the h*ll is that sorry charlie thing about anyway? also, what is Lunix? is it a type of computer software protection?

Home of the Plow Special (Aaytay)

Art here is what the po had done to make up a drive shaft for the 1512 D.
on the left you can see the end of the shaft where I cut it off the end of the pump shaft, that is threaded and fits into the next piece and locked with a nut. it had an expansion joint and then the clamp on joint to the splined shaft that
bolted to the Diesel. I think I can cut some more of the shaft on the pump and will make it the same length as the pump shaft on my 149. I will use the same piece as I would use for rag joints on the pump end except I will make a round plate and bolt that to where the rag joint goes in a normal shaft. This round plate will have 4 holes drilled in it to bolt the CV shaft to.This will make it nice to remove the shaft at a later Date. the motor end of the CV shaft will bolt to a round plate the same as the back simple really lol
I will take some pictures and post them of the parts needed and what I will do to make this work. I have given some thought to add this arrangement to my 129 loader in the future if it works like I think it will.( strong and little vibration) later Don T

Nick, I used one that Art A. has. He lent it to me when I was setting the governor on my Killer Kohler. It worked great, easy to use, seemed to be accurate as near as I could tell.
