The wire to the positive post on coil needs to be with a resistor wire or a porcelain resistor like the Chevys run on the firewall back in the 60s, make sure to use new coil, points condenser, check the grounds on coil to battery for continuity, and on the points and condenser, one may have short check them grounds independently without the power wire hooked on eather, and engine to ground at the power charger, that’s stator or alt. Or generator/Regulator.
