Roy-

Thanks I have asked around here and none of them carry the hillman line of products, I even asked lowes home improvement but they can't find it and don't know how to order it.

Thanks again to anyone who can get these please let me know.

Randy, it could be a partially sheared spirol pin in the lift rock shaft. Could be a bent part in the lift mechanism somewhere. Could be that the PO used the wrong parts when he converted it to hydraulic lift.

my 128 with the second stalling problem.

carb bowl was full of rust flakes and rust colored gas. carb was removed and cleaned.
I am going to spray gas in the carb when it starts to stall, if that stops the stall, then that should prove/disprove gas starvation.
if it does not stop the stall,
service manual recommends moving governor spring for hunting, and dropping a lot of RPM's when a load is applied, so I am going to try moving the spring, too.

Eric, Have you looked in the for sale section today?

Thanks Dave,

I didn't know Roy had posted those in the For sale section.

Frank- already tried that and there is no one for less than 100 miles from me who carry their products other than LOWES. And lowes employees are no the brightest ones around I have asked 3 different store managers if they can order them for me and all 3 of them said they didn't knwo how.

Regarding the spring trip blade - does a standard hydraulic equiped (doesn't have the optional front hydraulics) wideframe tractor lift and lower the blade? I'm reading the flyer above and it says the inner handle (which looks like an add-on with the front hydraulics kit) is what changes height. That doesn't make sense to me, but I want to verify before I buy... I'm looking at a spring trip blade (was only asking about the power angle in case I ever came across a kit, but currently do NOT have it...) that I want to do basic grading and snow removal with. I want to mount it on a 1450. Will I be able to raise and lower with the existing hydraulics?

Thanks!

-Calvin

Calvin, yes, the standard hydraulic lift will work just fine to lift the blade.

Don, I was taking some photos of some plants that are in bloom in my yard and of some rocks this morning and had that breather cover setting there in the garage and couldn't resist snapping a photos of it to post for you. Just having fun.

Lucas,
The brochure says approximately 800 lbs including 175 lb operator and full fuel tank. I'm assuming that's with deck also. Rule of thumb is to never pull more weight than your tractor weights, including yourself, any attachments and weights, i.e. wheel weights. You don't want more weight pushing you down a hill than the tow vehicle weights.

Calvin Ledford
Yes you will be able to lift the blade. If you want power angle you will have to add front ports and a few other parts for sure

... Because you called your air filter cover a breather ...

Kraig - Pics ?

Thats cool on the breather photo lol. I can take it. Love the rocks you posted also. wife wants a pond built and I have been looking for the right rock for a water fall. The 129 is back in operation again .

I would be a bit leary about spraying gas in a carb right next to a hot muffler. That's probably not a good idea. If the carb adjustment is not correct, or the high speed needle is not completely clean and open, it can cause the governor to hunt because the mixture is not correct. Make changes or corrections one at a time or otherwise you will never know what was really wrong or what corrected the problem.

Frank prefers the shotgun method....not productive, but sure entertaining..

Keep in mind that the seats on Don's Cubs bolt to the "wings"......and the engine is under the "bonnet"

I'm just glad Donald has something under his bonnet !
I was beginning to wonder sometimes !

Kide - You got that write up penned yet ?

Ken , Jerry
yup I gave up a bonnet a long time ago lol.
But I have something here that I got to have some fun with , and It will soon be running.

Wife won`t let me buy a real bike. (lol)

I seem to have lost the main belt adjustment bolt/nut/mechanism on my 108. Since I cant find and it isnt fully pictured in the manual it I dont know what to replace it with, but I suspect its all stuff I can get at my local hardware store.

I'll probably find it the hard way when I cut the lawn... anyone know what to use in the meantime?
