My brother in law has a 1650 that he has installed a IH tiller on. He tried it out the other day and then gave me a call. (He lives in another state.) He asked me which way the tines should rotate. I don't have a tiller on any of my cubs so I told him I don't know but I would assume that they turn in the direction of the forward motion of the tractor. He said that's what He thought but his are turning the opposite way. I checked some posts on the forum and they all seemed to indicate this forward motion. People talked about the tiller pushing the tractor. I told him to check to see that the belt wasn't crossed and to see which side the tines were sharpened on. He said the belt was right and the tines were sharpened for the reverse rotation. I told him to try and see if it would work. He later reported that it works good. Does anyone know what is the proper rotation?
