On my 125 I use a short piece of rubber garden hose on the two tabs the hood rest on.

Harry,
The TC-157 I have is dated 11/75 revision 15

Ive been using the air chisel for years. That works 99% of the time.

Hey all - another idea from another forum member for hood pads is double wall shrink tube wrap. Slip it on, shrink to fit and snip any excess off while trying to shrink a little around the exposed ends. Haven't done it yet but certainly sound doable and clean look. My 2c.

It is Raining here; that got me looking at some old pictures. This was my 129 when I first got her. She don`t look like that anymore.

Yes, 5/8" belt on 582

Ok I will try to jump start us..

Today while picking up baby chicks at my small rural post office the nieghbor had a decent looking 1250 with rear blade sitting on a trailer, then on my way to work in this old farms driveway sat a 100 on a small trailer.

Even though they were not mine it brought a smile to my face..

No time today, but I plan on revisiting the 1250

Hey - bot an mid-61 Original yest and curious what's different than the later Os. Mine doesn't have the hole in the pan behind the dash tower, it has collars on the spindles instead of the bolt/washer setup and the right side of the dash doesn't have the cutout for adjusting the steering. Not sure what else I'm missing and particularly the engine. One of the shrouds looks different (has ridges) and the s/g bracket looks a little different. Any pics or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Terry,
The early production Originals had different parts like you mentioned.
Does it have small openings on the rear wheels?
Does it have screws holding the wires on the ignition switch instead of push on terminals?

We need pics of you new found "O "

Well Lewis - if it just had an ignition switch I would be happy to check the terminals but it's GONE! Guy out a toggle switch in it's place. At least I'll know what to look for in a replacement. Did notice while looking that the VR is mounted different than my 63. The mounting holes line up horizontally whereas the 63 holes line up vertically. Oh, wheel holes are a little big to be original - crap! On my list. Cool sets of old Forestones on these ole boys! Probably not correct but neat anyway. Have a NOS utility box to mount on rear which I'm hoping will look nice. Thanks

Lewis - scratch the VR location. Mine is jacked up. I'll get some pics if poss so you guys can tell me what's right and what's not. Thanks

Tom - looks good to me! I wanna see the whole rig!! Love the color scheme!!

Nice tractor and snow blower. I see you used some edging off a seat pan to keep the hood from rattling. I bet it will wear a long time. A chrome air filter cover. I think I saw pictures of that tractor before. But it would be nice to see it again.
