I don't know if this is original or not.

I've had the engine probably 10 years and never have tried to start it.

I have zero space between the pulley and the plates (linings).

I do not have the service manual. If I did I probably wouldn't have been a part of this informative and lively discussion. If there is a service manual available for sale, point me in a direction.

There is a Mom, but she come with a husband, not a vintage tractor.

Kevin F., if you want a printed manual there is Binder Books, see their link at the top of the page. Or if your OK with printing your own, and have a good internet connection, click HERE With little to no space, perhaps it's rubbing enough to keep the drive shaft spinning.

Thanks for the manual, Kraig.

Once I get back from the "parts" store, I'll begin the operation.

I was just telling my wife how spoiled I've been being able to park my car in the garage lately. Me and my big mouth.

Clutch lining sticking here a lot, must be humidity lol.
I find I can put the Cub in gear and rock it back and forth with the back wheel. Does it most times for me .It can`t be stuck to much if it worked a few days ago.just quick little rolls and see if that works . You say it sat for years and well the tractor could use a good service.

KEN - Good old US made Stewart-Warner Gauges. Probably made in Elgin, IL..... the City that makes Gauges! Autometer is based there too.

Is it just an engine? or mounted to something, like say a Lincoln welder?

With a 0-80 psi gauge I bet it holds 30-40 psi of hot oil pressure.
