I'll know tomorrow.
I don't care either way on the deck. I think this one is going to have a cab and angle blade on it, for a dedicated snow pusher.

Marty,

That's a CCC/MTD built Cub Cadet. It's based on the 982, but technically is a Off Topic tractor, because it is not an IH Built >700000 Serial Number tractor.

I have a blade on my 982 (older version of the 1912 same engine brand I had a 1912 for bout 37 seconds)and to be honest I am very disappointed with it. it runs fine and all that. It is just to light in the rear. I have the rear tires loaded and have 200lbs or more hanging off the back and wheel weights and chains and 203lbs of me on it. It will spin out before it shoves much. Both a 682 and 582 would and has out shoved it and they both are faster at it. But for now that 982 has to foot the bill. And with Charlies knowledge he may get along better than me. That 1912 I had did have a 50inch deck. Jim

My 54" Haban on my SGT makes a monkey out of an IH blade......its like driving a state plow truck! You just have to "give it".....BRS!!!!!

I have tried that lol. didn't seem to help. either it glances off the drift or it just spins out digging deeper holes. What's been my normal clean up providing there enough snow to justify it has been 782 with thrower first. which I have set high to keep it from picking up stones. Then clean up with the 982 and blade. The 782 has a cab. And I am wanting to build one this summer for my 982.

If that's an onan 1912, it's probably the rarest Cub Cadet out there. Somewhere south of 100 made.

I snagged a Model 2000 trailer yesterday! Gonna spend some time rebuilding it to do my cub hauling. Needs a new spring hanger welded in and a couple minor repairs, but I'm pretty excited to have it.

Was a dealership trailer for the dealer in Monticello, IA, who painted it red and put those international stickers on it.

I've stared at this view most all day, LOL

Finally drove in at 6:30 tonight after hitting the road at 4:00A.M.
Here's the other end of what I looked at most of the day.

So the add said non working deck, I thought who cares! (BTW, it's just a 50C) So I get there and I start to load the deck and ask, so what's wrong with the deck? He says, oh the deck is fine, it's the tractor that won't lift or lower it.
I think WELL CRAP!
So I load the deck and walk over to the tractor to check it out to see if I'm going to get some money back on this deal.
I look down and find this, locked down tight!

So I fire it up and grab the lever and move it both ways and the under carriage goes up and down, smooth as silk.
I just smiled and loaded it up.

What's the S/N on that guy Digger?

I think there were only about 70 or so of those made with factory Onans in it.

Oh wait it's a 1912 not a 2072.

All the 1912s should have Onans in them. It was the 2072s that they only made about 70 Onan tractors.

Charlie,

That 2072 looks like a Mag 20. Onans had dual vertical mufflers...and flat upper heat shields.

Glad it all worked out for you Digger. I pretty much figured it was a 50c deck. But you never know. Nice catch. Jim

David R., very cool find on the trailer!

Charlie, nice!
