Matt Gonitzke

Well I hate all that dust, I should have a cabinet for that task.I always wash parts down with thinner first , Even if I glass blast.I don`t want to move all the containments into the bare steel.Another wash and a sand and sealer. They might not look to bad.

A lot was just a stain,They were not as rusty as I thought.

Don and Matt,
I prefer sand blasting but use a wire brush in a pinch, clean it with Acetone. Bryan McMeen once told me he used Sunnyside Caro Sol rather than Acetone to clean bare metal because is doesn't leave a film.

Bought a bb36 snowblower put it on a 1961 cub the problem is that I can't get it to adjust it high enough it only lifts about 1" and a half high

Jeff can you post some pix of the set up for us? Might be a simple attaching issue.

Here's the IH casting on a set of wheel weights going to North Central Illinois soon.

This is the casting one my 120's wheel weight. Sure looks like the Old IHC logo, but that doesn't make any sense?.?.?

Tom-
I'm fairly certain that the Plow Special has a set of weights on it with the OLD IHC logo on it too.

Now that you mention it, that DOESN'T make sense....

My weights have a cast in number!

Inside the black pen mark is the IH stamp and the L ?

ART, TOM - re OLD IHC logo on castings.... All I can say is some people in the pattern shops really aren't too worried about little details like that. ;-)

I mean come on.... They didn't have ISO 9000 to worry about...

Jeff, does your Original have the lift rod that runs inside the frame or the one that attaches externally to the lift handle?

Bill Z., for your 127 you would want either a QA36 or a QA42. Alternately you could use a QA36A or a QA42A. Both the QA36 and QA36A are 36" wide. Both the QA42 and the QA42A are 42" wide.

Help! My Cub seems to be having some problems. The gear shift now has a lot of play in it. I can still get it to shift gears but it points in all sort of directions now. I suspect something broke or came loose. Any ideas?
