Anyone have any performance history on the 1812 Cub Cadet, I am looking to purchase one, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Ed,

Timing, spark plug, carb tune, good S/G, good battery.........

1/2 throttle, full choke.....

I was just reading past post they say the same thing. Carbs were just cleaned new plugs and batteries. I can check the grounds. Has anyone had luck with the block heaters?
Thanks

Ed
10w30 will help with starting rather than straight 30 weight in the winter. And 91 non ox fuel will help

A magnetic heater on the underside of the rear end will work wonders!

You bet it will.

Thanks for the 1812 info Steve, I'll get on the right page from now on.

Jeff, I can't seem to find any photos of Cub Cadets with front mounted fenders in my archives.

Ed C. also check the ignition coil output, a cold engine require higher voltage than a warm engine. Also retorque the head as you might have a small compression leak which will cause hard start cold.

Kraig I looked in my pics and the archive and did not see it, I did find this pic but it's not the one I remember, maybe it was one of Charlies "every cub has its beauty" pics
