Ok I read the manual and all mine says is to remove the pin and it looks like it slides towards the rear. What I am trying to do is remove the front axle pin, I can get it to move both directions about 1/2 an inch or so. How do these come out is there a trick? I will check the archive tonite.

Jeff B., there is likely some rust and dried out grease in with that pin. Also they can wear a groove that catches, try lifting on the axle as you drive the pin out this may get it to move past the groove.

Can you tell me what size line (thickness, strength) I need to buy to make up front hydraulic lines and line from the hydro on Cub Cadets? (on topic)

Lucas, that depends on the model Cub Cadet. I see you have an Original listed in your profile. The correct color would be IH Yellow #483. There's more info on paint in the FAQs, see the link to the FAQs above. For the Original the engine color would be the same color yellow as for the frame.

Don,

Since the CC hydro only runs at 700-800#, you can use the "low pressure" hyd hose. Mine are 1/4" x 1500# hyd. lines. The 1500# hose will be more flexible than the 3500# stuff.

Thanks so much for that . I need to get some line and do a few mods for front and rear hydraulic ports and wanted to spend $ wisely. Is the furl a single or something special? Could a brake line tool with the right size adapter work for me? Thanks for the help. later Don T

Kraig, so the double pulley I've seen on a darn few originals to drive the hydraulic pump were part of a retrofit kit?
