Allen - Truck, Trike, Golf Cart (gas) but no Cub.

Looking forward to Florida Flywheelers in February to see a bunch of 'em. Bad weather was 50 miles to the South, only concern I have is the rain here (heavy) disappears so fast that I believe we're just one sinkhole away from disappearing into the earth. I approached the park manager about using a Cub instead of the golf cart, I think she's afraid of 375 homes all having 'em - something about that beautiful sound of a Kohler put putting around waking up the retirees...

Matt,
"I've played that game before" What project where you working on?

Gerry,
The issue is probably the assumed noise. I bet if you had a quite muffler no one would care.

Terry, are you just curious about the parts or are you looking to acquire either a 126 item # 15 or a 147 (107) item # 17? If so I might have one of each. Though it's a bit cold at the moment to be removing them from the parts chassis they are each attached to...

Was cleaning off dad's drive this morning with my 149 and broke off the spiral roll pin that connects the control handle to the lever that connects to the valve for the hydraulic lift. Broke one last year and I think the year before. The lever and handle both have been drilled out to a larger roll pin than originally used by a PO.
Can the clamp on style used on the 1250-1450's Part number IH-106521-C2 be used on the 149's?
It would make life easier.

David,

Yes, but it may need to be shortened/modified a bit.

Doug, Paul and Wayne - thanks so much for the NF hydraulic pump info.

OK Guys, which one of these is correct for a 126?
I/m think it's the 2nd one.
And, what's the other one for?
Gonna paint 'em both, just don't know which is which!

Top one looks like it's for a Tecumseh or Briggs with the downdraft carbs. Definitely the bottom one.

Thanks for the reply. After I posted it I got to thinking that I have a 1650 parts tractor up on the bed of an old truck in the back shed. wondered what type of lever was on it if any. My good 1650 that my son borrowed 2 years ago has a pin on style but that has dual hydraulics ( actually 3, you can raise/lower the blade independent of the 3 point, a PO addition, nice job as well). Turns out that the parts one in the back shed has the clamp style still on it. I took it off, it will need one bend straightened , cut off to length and a new hole drilled. Will do that tomorrow.

Kraig,
My motivation for asking the question is the same as your reluctance. I have a 126 along side of the garage that needs to either be dragged into a heated garage or have surgery while in a snow bank.

My current project involves installing a 126 drive train into a 147. I am making the extremely rare 146.

Terry-

Trying to piece together a gear drive with a bucket full of mostly hydro rockshaft bellcranks. It's been years, but it seemed like there were several different variations, and only a gear drive one will work on a gear drive.

Terry-

Are you doing this conversion on the "one armed ho"?

I guess any newbie that isn't familiar will think I'm talking dirty. Maybe you could post a pic or two of that very cool machine.

.

Wayne,
No, I found an ugly 126 for sale and I found a nice 147 for sale. I already have way to many 147's. So I thought I would make a 146. For no other reason but to say I did. Here is a picture of the 126. The worst case is the transmission blows up and it goes back to a 147.
