MTD's shipping sucks too !
I've had an order sit at their "Sortation Center" for 3 days (2/05-2/08) before it moved and another one sitting since 2/07 stalled @ the "SC".

Kraig - That's Right !

I was unable to get photos of the 125 yet but here is one of the 124.

Kentucky Ken we're supposed to get 4 to 8 inches of snow tonight here in southern Indiana across from Louisville. I was starting to think it only snowed further north where the big boys played. Guess we can play tomorrow.

Well I made it through another sub sero Wisconsin weekend.
It sure aint no fun having to thaw out frozen water pipes every other weekend, much less twice in one day.
Did manage to get the 72/loader to fire up Saturday afternoon, took 30 minutes of running at 1/2 throttle to get the hydro oil to flow enough to operate the loader at a decent speed.

Sorry no photos of the loader in action as for some reason I could not get the wife to come out and take a few snap shots, she mummbled something about being to cold out side.

Donnie... nice signature!! rotflmao!!

KENtuckyKEN

I am going to locate me a couple of them. one for the hydraulic oil tank and one for the oil pan on the motor.

Lonny - I don't think you can put one on the engine since there's not a big enough area but have you thought of a heavy blanket (or carpet) and a light bulb ? BTDT plenty of times. You know a 100w bulb puts out 100w of heat and so on. Then your cub could

I worked the 1650 with loader pretty hard today. First tie I have had it out since I bought it and restored it. I was pulling some rather large ground hugging junipers. I was able to get under each one with the bucket and scrape it loose to the main trunk. It worked great!

then I was able to wrap a tow strap around the trunk and pull it out with the truck (in 4x4).

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures as I was home alone doing this project, and I was way too muddy to think about running inside for the camera. ;)

Two questions...
Is there an adjustment to give the loader system a wee bit more pressure? It was straining when lifting one of the shrubs to put it in the truck. I would guess that it was about #300, maybe more. I never lifted the rear of the tractor with the new weights in place, but it sure would have been nice to have a little more uumph!

I have this persistent leak from the rear end cover. It was totally torn down and a new gasket installed, without any sealer. I traced it down to a slightly loose bolt initially (several weeks ago when it was just sitting) but today with it warm, it began to weep a bit again. I checked the bolts again, but they were tight. I think it is coming out near the bottom of the cover, but I can't isolate the exact location. Should I double gasket it? Sealer (aarrgg)??

It sure was nice having a great little tractor to help out on this work today. I was also nice to be able to get it right in the flower beds, near the house, to get this done!

Lonny, I feel for ya buddy....haven't had a problem here in 2 years and 6 AM this morning my step daughter wakes me up to tell me here brother broke the water

. Heat tape crapped out.

Ken, thats a good little trick, btdt also. One of those small halogen shop lights work good too, harder on the electric bill though.

It's about as silly as someone sending an e-mail then calling to ask if you read it yet

John, I have a little seepage coming from the bottom of the cover also. I'm pretty sure mine was caused by not doing a good enough job cleaning the contact surface of the cover and rearend. I used a new gasket only.

Anybody happen to have a drawing of the tranny input shaft for a rear PTO?

I'm trying to cobble a rear PTO together for a 126. I have a rear PTO assy from a Farmall cub but haven't found the input shaft.

I do have access to a very nice CNC machine shop, though...
