I always thought if you were to put a picture in YOUR profile, you'd use a picture of one of YOUR tractors...

well Matt Thats not a 100% true statement. Im that 1 in 100 that likes to be diiferent.

Josh:
Hmmmm....maybe you could make THAT a little clearer in your profile. We get new people around here all the time; they're going to assume that it's yours - right? It'd be nice to give picture credits, when you're using someone else's pictures too (I think we went through this just a few months ago with somebody..)

When was that prototype built? Does it have a serial number? Definitely nice looking. Nick

Kendell, yep, someone had a photo of Myron's dual lift lever Original in their profile.

Kendell, then maybe you can make something like that up so our new members wont get confused.

Ok So direct replacement on the coil thanks for the # Myron. Now what are the causes for coils to fail??? I have 2 that test bad acording to the flow chart on here.

Good Morning All. I don't blame Josh for desiring to own that particular Cub Cadet. I more than ilkely sent that pic to Josh at one time. The company knows that I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Mr. Charlie Ricketts had just come off the project of developing a hydrostaic propelled combine for International Harvester and this was his next assignment. If I recall correctly the TWO cub Cadets for the Hydrostatic propelled garden tractor were purchased in 1963. Unfortunately the part with the serial number couldn't be used and another piece was machined in its place. The serial number piece was scrapped out. This Original also had a ten horse Kohler installed after Sunstrand found out that IH was developing a higher horsepower Cub Cadet.

I'm off to work in a little while. Everyone take care and have a wonderful day.

DON T. - I don't think You got an answer about the frt aux. hyd. couplers. The male ends to fit the attached IH female ends are REAL hard to come by, and EXPENSIVE. I switched the ones on my 982 over to Pioneer # 4010's which should be a common small size connector pair found at most any well stocked ag supply store. The inlets to both ends of the connectors are 3/8" NPT threads. The male & female pair of 4010's are about HALF the price of the IH male ends IF You can find them.

KENDELL - I used to read parts books for FARMALL tractors during my breaks @ FARMALL. It was easier to inflict pain, I mean expedit parts from Other IH plants when I could explain to their Management that We couldn't just put an "I-O-U" on the tractor on the assembly line in place of THEIR part I was short.

Thanks for filling in the blanks. (3/8" ) was what I was after to order,I just did not know if all of them would fit in the frame holes that are there now and clip in.

Josh Ott

If it is not your tractor it should not be in your profile, or the credit to who owns it should be given for all to see when they view your profile. Credit where credit is due.(or remove it) I would not like it if someone used my loader in there profile, that just gives the impression that they did all the work restoring it.not cool

Thats my.02 later Don T

I really need to get all my Cubs lined up for a picture this spring. I don`t have a picture with them all together. Missing in this picture the 125,129 loader and the 1512D . Have a great day guys. later Don T

and there all mine lol

Josh: Having BTDT, if you use a photo of someone else's tractor or equipment, credit should always be given!! Please, you should delete that photo or add a statement that "it is a prototype in the Sundstrand Museum which you would like to own"!!

When it happened to me, it turned out the guy thought it was a generic photo and used it without giving it a lot of thought. Being a nice guy, when told, he deleted it and apologized to me.

And I was just looking for a picture of Harrison Ford on a 169 with a loader to post on my profile....

ok i have a quick question, this morning a guy called me looking for a 3 prong key switch for a 147, will one from a 125 work?

Hmmmm, I currently have an animated gif of a Cub Cadet 125 sticking it's tongue out as my profile photo. I did however create said animated gif out of a brochure photo, somehow it ended up in the list of clip art available here to add to posts.

Now that I'm done refurbishing my Original I may have to change the photo...

well im pleased this morning... the people that called looking for a key switch were from my local ford lincoln mercury delear, i assumed it belonged to one of the mechanics or the boss's that needed fixed. So after i got that off i took it down there (right down the road) after the boss took me through this labranth of garages we ended up in the basement, we turned a corner and there it was! its a beautiful original condition 147 with 3 point, lights, snow plow and even the original horn! the left rear tire was flat but thats when i noticed it had two IH weights on the rears! the guy said that they had been plowing there lot with it for years! im not sure how ive missed that all these years but i did... I drooled over it for a few minutes than i had to go but, i made it very clear that if they were ever to sell it they should call me! the boss kinda mentioned something about buying a new one so maybe ill get lucky!

Guys I took a few pictures of the Swash plates in the hydro that I had apart and thought I should post a picture so you can see what they look like.
