Everett Dale (Edale) A lot of time went into building the loader for my 129. I would guess at 42 hrs, with all the bushings and small things that had to be done. I did use pins on all the cylinders for easy removal and that did take some of the time.I had no problems at all with the loader. The loader can be removed in about 25 min ,but i never had it made to take off. There is an another type of mounting bracket for the loader that will let you run a deck but i chose not to use it. I planned to use the 129 just for a loader and will use the 147 and my O for Grass cutting. The O cuts grass great and sips gas.I felt with the bucket on the loader it would be a pain around the yard with all the plants and trees that the wife has around and she would not like me running over any. I did redo the front axle with high speed stub axles and they are a must and the super steer upgrade also. Later Don T

And this up grade is a must because of the extra weight of the loader with dirt in the bucket. Later Don T

EVERETT - Your 982 has "Bent Spindles", like the early CC's had only MUCH stronger, 1" dia. steel, with bronze bushings in the spindle bores like big tractors had. You already have 18-8.50 X 8 tires stock on ball bearing wheels....Plus the cast iron axle itself is about twice as heavy as a std. CC. I really don't think You'll need need to beef up the frt of the 982. Power Steering however might be a nice addition.

Scott Stanton, your 2 steps ahead of me. I've got to install the drivebelt and fill with oil. Just waiting for the drive pulley to arrive. I too won't be needing the spring assist! I can't wait to try it out! Hi to Paul Funk, long time no see.

Ken, Re: missing page. I guess you could use reverse logic... go to the part to reassemble it, but work backwards to disassemble it.

Kevin P. - Rockshaft is a shaft with levers attached, that when the shaft rotates, the levers convert the rotating movement into linear movement to raise & lower attachments. They can be manually operated, electrically operated, or hydrauliclly operated.

Kevin,

Part #1 is the rockshaft, #2 & #3 are the lift arms on a manual lift for a 1250.

Mike, I too need to fill the unit with oil, put the rear fenders back on and put the plow back on. I have it listed in the classifieds if any needs a spring assist. I want to try to get it done after work tonight. We are supposed to get another 2-6 inches overnight and I'm not shoveling if I dont have to!!

Cool... Thx for the lesson... Speaking of lessons I am going home tonight to disassemble the clutch assembly to the 104, I have never done this before, so hopefully all goes well...Should be fun!!!

<font color="119911">DON, can I put that front end upgrade on a 147? If so, where do I get it?

Thanks Donald.Just printed the document, now I can see how this clutch works.Somebody has welded the rear plate to the pulley section and to the outer cup.I'll have to seperate it all and clean up as required. Then see what it needs. Thanks again.KeithW.
