Wow, he's lucky the block hasn't cracked. Hope he wears ear plugs AND ear muffs. Looks like that's a model 71.
 
At least he has the flappers turned to keep tree limbs from hanging up.

Actually he's in Fl..
I spent 45 minutes on the phone with him trying to convince him that it was not made in 1975.
I still don't think he believes me, LOL

His brakes are locked up and the guys at the Florida Flywheel event told him he would have to remove the rear end, take the axle tubes off to get to the brakes, LOL
He also called it a Banjo rear end, and all I could think was someone took the original out and put one in from a 1940 ferd!
 
Gotta give the guy credit. Either he's a plumber or ???. He even "customized" the fuel line. Moved the coil to get a hotter spark !!!????

I don't see anything wrong with that 7hp? rig. It is his and he can do what he wants with it. It's not my cup of tea but... At least they are all "bolt on" "Accessories" as I would call them. Better than some of the stuff I've gotten with drilled holes and cutting torch scars.
 
Nate B., yes that is true. However, all that weight hanging off of the rather thin casting around the exhaust outlet is not good. If he had some bracing around it I wouldn't have an issue with it. I believe all the dual exhausts Cubs that Mike posted have supports except perhaps the 70.

The only problem is it's WAY too much weight for the exhaust port on the engine block. If it were properly supported, it would be much better.

Edit: Now we know who types slower...
 
I was able to get my QA42A to run with fewer issues, I sprayed EZ Slide on the chutes, snow no longer sticks, Fixed the gap on the auger where it flings the snow into the chute with baler belt. Then I figured I did not set my throttle correctly, did that now runs fine and will not die when its in down in slow. And my new issue was that I lost one bolt in my front axle causing me to wobble my way back to shelter. Now I just need to wait for it to snow again like 6" than the last time which was 2".
 
Nate B - It's not my kid so why should I care if some guy is beating the crap out of it with a 2x4 ... Same difference , somethings just aren't meant to be.
Dual exhaust on a single cylinder is just stupid anyway period ! If you , they , them want duals then put a twin in it.
That's more redneck than me.

Single is fine for me.
1200 won't be like this for too long. I have another muffler that is similar to original and then I'll make a lower grill screen, pop the blank panel in and side panels I finally found. In spring.

I have to agree with Nate. If you haven't tried it keep your mouth shut!
I got a pair of Volkswagen beetle resonators for X-mas about 1966/'67 to be made into dual chrome straight pipes on the 70 that's still out in the shop. Dad found some electrical conduit that the resonators fit in as a press fit and brazed up the "tee".The 3-4 hours a week I ran it maybe effected my hearing a bit, but the hours and hours listening to those miserable 2-cylinder green tractors banging away that left my ears ringing for 6-8 hours afterwards certainly did! The guys biggest problem was using 1/2" pipe! Even with the small pipe I bet that K-161/181 can't hold those rain caps open!
Our former fearless Leader Bryan had duals on one of his Cubbies! And Mein Kub had duals too! There's a whole fan club on RPM that drewl over TD-18 & TD-24 crawler tractors because they came from the factory with dual stacks!
