Ken -

Yep, that too.

Guess we can also add (no offense Paul B2) - KEEP THOSE SIDE PANELS ON. It does NOT run cooler with them off, they were designed to cool properly with them ON.

Ahem.

I found out today why IH dint use more yeller all over!

KENtucky,
If you look close you will see a flat fender 123 sitting beside the 102 in the shed, and I have another 102 with flat fenders.
Had to put the fender deck off a 126 on the 102 to the rear of the windbreaker can had something to sit on, the flat fenders where not wide enough.
I did keep the fenders off this 102 to put back on if I dont like what I see once I get it all put together.

I think I am going to go back to 8.50 rear tires, I dont care for how the sidewall bend back in on these 10.50's. They also dont ride as nice as the 8.50's do.

I will have some soon I hope. It just came like that. I think they look cooler as well as run cooler with the side panels. No offense taken. My slick Caddy emblem makes it cooler too. All the swingin' chicks dig my Cadillac Cub. Paul

Yeah I kinda like it running a little smoother at idle even if the idle is just a tad high.

I know all about replacing the iso mounts and snubbers. That is what got me into this mess. When I first went to see the tractor and the guy started it for me I though the engine was going to fly out of the frame it shook so much with zero rubber left on the bottom of the mounts. So when I took the motor out to replace the mounts I could'nt put it back in all worn out.

All that shakin around really kind of freaks me out. I keep thinking of all the parts that could be rubbin themselves to nothingness and then I think about the poor float in the carb jostlin all over the place etc......

Bad news for me on the side panels. the PO chucked 'em a country mile. Maybe I'll get another set once I have all of the implements/hitches etc.... that I need

Jason just something for you to think about ... I put a 325 horse 327 in a guys truck once and I told him he needed a fan shroud since the v8 sat back further than the 6 banger did and the fan wasn't up against the radiator anymore. He said he'd get one ... guess he had "implements" to buy too , 2 months later I was putting another engine in his truck AND making up a shroud to suck the air through the radiator. Since they are air cooled engines they need the air flow , and if the panels help to direct the air to the intake of the flywheel ...
But personally I like the no sidepanel look as I like to see what's under da hood

Lonny if you had the 4 ply 10.5's they ride like concrete dohnuts !

Paul whatever attracts'em !

KENtucky,
thats what I got on it right now, and I dont even have them pumped up, I have been running them flat so to speak.

Paul B2 -

Any plans for horns on the hood?

Jason-
Not to backtrack too far, but re-reading your questions, what do you mean about a throttle stop? I'm 99.99999% sure no Cub I've owned has had a throttle stop, just an idle adjustment stop, top RPM is governed solely by the governor. Are you sure you don't have something assembled backwards? Probably a little too late to ask, but something just didn't make sense so I had to ask.

Don't thinke I didn't consider it. I figured they'd get hung up in stuff though. Woulda been a Boss Hogg Cadet. Paul

Wyatt,

All of the K series motors (except maybe the 7/8hp) in non-QL tractors had WOT stops on the left side of the block where the cable connects to the governor linkage. (Little "L" shaped tab)

QL machines had a set screw style stop at the fire wall bulkhead.

Steve-
I see what you mean, I was thinking he was talking about a throttle stop on the carb or something.

For those of you that don't get over to the Plow Day section, Kraig posted a few wants.

<!-quote-!>quote:

Does anyone else have Plow Day 8 photos to send me for the Photo CD? Remember, if you submit photos you get a free CD with all the PD8 photos I have. (I know some of you out there have photos and have not yet sent them, I was watching the video last night and saw several people with cameras.) TIA )<!-/quote-!>

Charlie, thanks.

I also posted progress info on the videos of PD8. I'm getting very close to having them ready for sale. They'll be available, as usuual, in both VHS and DVD format.)

Phoof, Phoof. Testing.
Tedd. You out there?
Remember the subframe you sold me?
Before.

Used CASE/IH 935. because it was cheaper than the Cub Cadet paint Course, as I'm spraying I'm thinking, "uh oh, this looks a little on the yellar side". Sure enough, look up the paint colors and it should be 901. Well, most likely I'll be plowin in the dark and no one will see.

I was tearing down my original last night and noticed the circular piece of cloth that connects from the clutch to the transmission is torn to he**. Is this a sponsor part, and if so- what is it's title. Sorry if i'm ignorant to this. this is only my second restore.
