Wyatt- there's also a full-speed stop on the cable bracket side of QL engines (at least, the two I've got)... it's a long screw with spring, but as you noted, it's on the cable-side of the gov spring, not on the gov linkage or throttle plate shaft.

Ken- nice picture, excellent pose! who's that guy holding you?

Lonny get a air chisel with a 1/2" punch and drive that pin out the back.If you can'tget the roll pin out the zip gun will brake it off on the way out the rearBTDT.

Digger's trying to turn this into a jigalo site - hold back the womenz !!

You'r not the only one surprised.

It runs great. Much quieter than the old one. Not all those internal clanking & banging noises.

After you have the clutch installed you'll need to adjust it.

Green guys are stealing our stuff. They have a Johnson workhorse loader in the WFM ads which appears to have been for a Cub originally.

Art, have you been working on that 140 halfway up the same page? Tires look like you put them on or is the tractor backwards?

Wyatt, Nice chains.

Has anyone run across the chains with old tire sections as cross links? I read about some on here years ago and wonder if they would be asphalt friendly.

Jim....Digger posted a couple of photos of tire chains like that the other day....very first post on this thread....(Dec 8,04...8:50a.m.

looks like i will be picking up cub #6 tommorow after work, a 1450

Thanks, Glen-Digger's right those are cheap lookin. I'm trying to remember some that still had the tire tread showing and actually looked promising. Congrats on the 1450!

Sorry Wyatt-your excellent retort to Digger made me associate your name with those chains.

Charlie, Concerning your much too yellow Cub, looks like you got it's seat springs backwards. Course there might be a reason that I may not be familiar with.

That's not mine, but I have heard and seen people reverse the springs for short legged folks and also it helps people with back problems as they don't slouch as the seat tends to tilt them forward more.
That's my story and I'm stickin to it!
I know when added large bumpers to my 1450 to tilt the whole seat forward, it sure helped my back.

Charlie, what did you use for the bumpers? I need ones for the 109 and I was thinking something a little higher would be good. Didn't find anything in the hardware store the other day that wasn't hard plastic.

John
