Fellas,
My 'dual dipstick' engine has a "STICKER TAG" (indicating that it was a replacement engine).
It reads: Model# K301A; Spec # 47376b; Serial # 3147530.
I believe the first two digits in the serial # indicates that it was manufactured in 1971.

Ryan, last may I helped rebuild a 12 horse in a 100. It had the right hand dip stick tube but also the cam gear dip stick.
It had the balance gears. when you pull out the long dip stick it's real short and had "check other dipstick" or something like that, stamped on it.<!-/quote-!>

As Dave R. pointed out above, there were some Kohler engines built with these "dual dipsticks".
Does anyone have any idea as to how many 'dual dipstick' engines might have been produced?
