Thanks, Charlie. I should have known you have what I need. Now I just need to tear into it and see if that's what the problem is. I hope to get time this weekend. I will need the gasket you have also to seal it up when I'm done.

Tim D.
I know you guys get tired of me typing this.
BUT, no less than 6 of our sponsors carry regulators.

Rob Neubauer, Where can I get one of those $10.00 tiller drive belts

Thanks Charlie and Dennis.

I guess I need to hit the local Cub place and get those zerks? (well, it's actually pretty far away). I doubt my local auto store(s) will have anything like those.

Looks like pt #937-3000 (correct?)

All that's left of it is the spring sticking out. Kinda hated to have to pull the spindle but I think I need to find out what's wore out anyway as they are pretty sloppy(not real horrible, but bad enough).

The NEW wheel bearings I installed right before the snow are "JUNK" already! Geesh, can't get anything to last.

Thanks guys.

Larry K.
They are nothing special.
Just 3/16 drive type zerks. Any auto parts store will have them.

Straight PN/IH-443566 USE 937-3000
Angle PN/IH-19700-R91 USE 937-0108

On wheel bearings, you get what ya pay for these days.

I have a 1450 cub, last couple of summer it runs a while then stops, won't start until it cool, then it started stopping when I engaged the pto to mow, until I put a new battery on it, I have changed the coil, condensor, stator, regulator, rebuilt the carb, and another new battery, still the same problem, tried adjusting carb, and took it to the shop, they said points are fine, that's when condensor was changed, any suggestions? thanks!

Philip - At first you make it sound like a bad coil but you changed that ... Then it sounded like a plugged gas cap vent until you mentioned the PTO.
My 127 would do that then I found the points had slipped and was barely opening.

Hey neighbor , I'm 5 miles east of Cumberland Falls.

Larry - Myself I'd tap the Zerk hole and use thread in fittings. I've not had much luck keeping the pressed ones in after taking out a bad one.

... oh and send me another stove leg to cast and I'll make it out of JB the next time !
You might get it quicker !

Charlie:
Cheap shot....

I musta' P'd off the BOSS of this here joint ... he done went and locked me up in da slammer !!

Second request for help on a charging problem I posted on 4/7 at 7:45pm. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Tom: From here, it looks like your battery has enough charge in it that the s/g doesn't have to help.

Tim Keefe,

The tiller drive belt I located and used was a Goodyear A144 HY-Tplus classical belt which is 146" in length which is in the ballpark of what the cubfaq's say to use. It seemed to fit fine on my 1450, and the idler pulleys are not to close to the front axle. That being said I only cycled it without a load on it, since I have to pickup the tiller this weekend from the farm. Any bearing/powertransmission place should be able to supply you with that belt.

Does Charlie get up before lunch??

How much is my Cub cadet worth? Would it be worth more if I painted it? What color should I paint it? Why won't it start? Would it start better if I painted it? I took the 3 screws out of the front PTO. Why won't it come off? Would it come off better if I painted it? Should I paint it before I put it back on? What color should I paint it? Should I

Maybe I'll just sell it on ebay and buy a John Deere or a grey tractor from China.
