    Bulldozers...

Yes, you never rode in a Travelall, you merely hung on and kept asking "How long yet?" BTW, that pickup looks like it inspired the Chevy Avalanche

Denny, I can confirm that a Cub Cadet transaxle will bolt into an 1100 without any drilling. The frame is punched already so it's 'plug-n-play' without the headaches.

    Rear PTO Problems

Have you reset the clutch gap yet? If not, that is a place to start. On the clutch, you will have slots in the body where you will insert a feeler gage. Adjustment is made by the nuts with springs under them. Set the clutch gap at .012" with the feeler gage for all 3 locations. Recheck them...

Tom, I do recall that you and I went back and tried to straighten out that plowing mess. I looked really bad and I think we did our best w/o getting run over by the speedsters. That was a fun time!

Steve, Redneck Cub Cadet guys say 'hold my beer while I smoke this deere' BTW, think that plowing with one's butTOX half on the seat was the origin of the term "Half-azz'd" ??

    Is Synthetic Oil OK?

It is fine to use synthetic oil if the engine manufacturer's change intervals are followed. In air cooled engines, if not changed on time, the syn. oil will lose the lubricating properties and gel up badly. Remember that air cooled engines depend on the oil for a portion of their cooling, not...

Pop's 1864 Cub's PTO blows fuses with belt on, doesn't with belt off...

I'd pull the clutch and break it down, my guess is the insulation is rubbed thru on the field coil where the wires emerge. It may be an indicator that the bearing is worn, these can be replaced. let us know what you find please.

Snowmobile track studs! Yikes!!! Just look at any snow-state highways where the sleds cross, they do tear the roadway surface up pretty well. I wouldn't want my hands under the fenders!!

    3205 Cub Info needed

Simple answer is NO, Mike. The last tractors that were 82 series based were the 1864 style "Cyclops" machines. They were last made in 1997. The 3205 is entirely a new design, with a totally different frame and attachment system that is not backwards compatible. To me that is when the Cub...

Dennis, The Husky and the Craftsman are the same product with interchangeable hoods. They are definitely not built up to the standards of the older bikes you referenced. Those were decent in their day, the riding mowers, not so much.
