The first one isn't done yet, but here's the second one.

Nice! Ummm, second one? I assume by first one you mean the one that was in your building and ended up in your tractor bucket that you were going to have made into a rug. Is this one you picked up second hand?

Kraig,
The second got hit by a vehicle and wandered on to the property and I put him down. He was pretty banged up and really P.O.'d about it too.
DNR wasn't to happy with me on either bear, they TOLD me I had to get a permit before I pulled the trigger. You can guess what I told'um!!!!!!

Charlie, interesting color on the second one, almost looks like a Grizzly... Very nice mount! Is the first one still going to be a rug or did you decide on something else?

I can confirm that bears do have bad breath. While a scoutmaster, camping at Sabbatis Scout Reservation with my troop, the cabin tents have a front and rear flap. Well, one night an Adirondack black bear stuck his head in the back of my tent... We were ready to high-tail it out of there, but he left... He prolly got a whiff of my feet or something...

Charlie-

Did you ask the DNR what they would have done?

Lets see...pull the trigger and live or follow stupid rules all the way to the grave yard.

I commend your decision for the second bear too. I will not watch any animal suffer...regardless of the damn rules.
