Upgrade NowIf it looks like this, it will fit. But if it didn't come off a 82 series, you'll have to change the lower pulley to 5/8" instead of the 1/2" that's on it.Are you guys able to tell if this tiller would fit my 782 by this picture? I'm hoping it would. Thanks!
It's a model 1What picture?
What is the model # of the tiller, a #2 by chsnce?
The rear end is red. That will fit, provided the belt on the gearbox is changed to 5/8". You will also need a different belt and mule drive.
Also, your 782 needs a cast iron rearend. Can't tell from your profile pic thumbnail if yours is IH or MTD built.
How would you go about telling? That will fit, provided the belt on the gearbox is changed to 5/8". You will also need a different belt and mule drive.

Why not post a pic of the rear instead of the serial #? It could have been changed out at some point. How would you go about telling?

Depends on what it came off of. It looks like the pulleys are not big enough to me. If it came off a 82 series they will be fine, if not, they will have to be changed as well.So I would need a different mule drive?
He said it came off a 1250. If that helps?Depends on what it came off of. It looks like the pulleys are not big enough to me. If it came off a 82 series they will be fine, if not, they will have to be changed as well.
Gotta change the pulleys then. It would be best to add the J bolt and remove the adjuster arm as well.He said it came off a 1250. If that helps?
