Anybody have any pictures of the 40" tiller mounted on their machine so I can see how mine is supposed to go? I scored one yesterday for $150, but it's seized... there's still a couple months before garden season begins though, so I have a little time to soak it down with penetrating fluid and work on it. The guy I bought it from said he couldn't find the "gearbox" that's supposed to go between the tiller pulley and the mule drive... some pictures of that would be great too so I know what I need to buy to make this work right... I plan to mount it on my 104.
Again, TIA

This is a picture of a tiller mounting bracket and gear box. This is on a 147. The hitch plate comes off when you mount the tiller.

Awesome! Yes, that is exactly what I needed, the manual. I'm definitely going to have to put a wanted ad out for one of those gearboxes... He gave me the weird piece that goes under the seat, a lifter bar, and a U-shaped bracket that I'm not 100% sure where it's supposed to go...
Looking at the pictures in the manual, I guess the guy that sold me my mower deck sold me a mule drive set up for a tiller and not the mower, as mine has the two positioning/tensioning bolts instead of one tension bolt and one with a spring compensator.

Amazing how the different components of a tiller setup go missing and mismatched over the years.
Sounds like you got some IH 3-point lift parts in the deal as well.

Indeed. I'm slowly accumulating a shelf full of various bits to different machines and different implements. After seeing a few pics I now think I'm also missing either the upper or lower triangular lift bracket... there's only one on my tiller.
I also found a hole in the little gearbox in the middle of the tines. I'm guessing this is probably the source of why it's seized. Probably have to have it welded/brazed up. Unless it's supposed to be there for some reason.
